Concept Art - Orion and The Sword of Light | Throwback to when I did character art for Orion and The Sword of Light long ago. I was heavily inexperienced there. I was still learning how to use ink and how best to use watercolor. On top of those I was pr a cticing drawing people from unconventional angles as well as discovering what colours went into making skin for certain types of people. These people who were either curious, ambitious or just happened to be in the area all had their light robbed from them. What remained were either empty people longing for the hearts ripped from their chest, or people posessed by the dark seeker. In time, more came. More of these possessed people showed up due to this man's ambition and wrought havoc on the universe all in the name of restorring light by using darkness. But where there is darkness, there is light somewhere deep inside. And the light had not been completely snuffed out. A Reprieve is a change of judgement or a temporary postponement of a certain judgement on someone. When one ceases to judge themself so harshly, they find that they are no longer at war with themselves and that all parts of them no matter how different, make up who thwy are. At the end of such inner turmoil, heading straight for life as if it is a bed of roses is the way many can live a full life. True life may be dangerous or threatening at times but that is the horrible beauty of it. It is what leads to our ups and downs and our joys and tears. This is living fearless despite being aware of the consequences of your actions. I have been debating on whether or not this would be the finale to this tale. I originally planned for 9 cards. 8 are painted with only one not so. However that one can come in a future period, for perhaps a new set.
