And I've collected 2 more Odys in that time frame!#Which...given the amount of adaptations out there is very...very small.#I love Odysseus and the Odyssey. I love how each adaptation peers into his character and pulls out various traits to highlight.#Epic does an amazing job with conveying his breaking points and his grief!#Odyessy 1997 is a really solid adaptation I highly recommend. Even if it shafts Athena's role a lot. Hermes is a Magic Twink. Go watch it.#And Yes - Fourfold Soul is my own original work. But it is indeed Odyessy inspired.#I'm specifically drawing on Calypso's island era for FFS. Focusing on the longing & grieving!#Brother where art thou is...loose in it's interpretation. But goddamn do they nail the fast talking silver-tougue aspects.#Outis is equally using her words to play 4D chess to get what she wants out of people.#Specifically those in positions of authority. Many adaptations leave out how much Ody was sweet talking royalty all the time.#Hades Ody I am still learning about...They lean more on his tactical side (and his inability to let the war go). I'm very intrigued!#This is all to say...I am offering this art as a thank you to humanity as a whole for telling and retelling stories.#I love that we still tell this story. I love that we understand how to play with it's parts and still make it feel connected to the source.#Any other adaptation recommendations are welcome! I would love to draw a part 2 B*)
