Dear BG3 comminity, there's a blog called @craftychopshopbluebird that steals BG3 content from users to push a link onto people. I have explained the details in this post. DO NOT CLICK THE LINK IN THEIR POST.

I'm sharing the screenshots - maybe you will recognize your art/or a person that the content belongs to and can let them know. This way the content owners can report their work being stolen directly + file the impersonation report.

Buckle up, folks, this is gonna be a long one.

Our prolific author, @relicshamecircle (aka EnduringParadox on ao3) has been made aware of an e-book "author" named Layla Moran who has been blatantly plagiarizing her Diarmute fanfics and just changing the names and a few words around. This is absolutely unacceptable. I always like to think of this fandom as a safe haven and an accepting, kind community. But this is disgusting.

These are the three specific works listed on Layla's account that have been plagiarized from EnduringParadox:

This seems to be the work of someone within the fandom, because how else would she have found these fics and read them and decided to pass them as her own? So Layla Moran, if you follow me and you're reading this, you have made Pilgrimage fanfic authors, who are already so few and far between, feel unsafe to post without you getting your greedy hands on them and trying to take advantage of a small fandom for your own profit. Did you think you would never get caught? My advice to you would be to take down the works yourself before this has to get nasty.

To everyone else, I urge you to report and/or leave one-star reviews stating that they're plagiarized from fanfic. Links and proof below the cut:

I was blessed with an early copy of Penny Moss' upcoming novel, Rainsquall. I've read several of her books before, and in each case, I haven't been able to put the book down until it's finished. This time it took longer. Rainsquall is one of those things you can only experience for the first time once - or, as it turns out, twice.

Just a few pages in, I had to stop and go back to the beginning with a completely different understanding of what I'd just read. There are several reveals through the book with the same effect. Every time it happens, it's not enough just to say, "Ohhh, so that's what was happening." It's like reading an entirely new book right in the middle of your first read.

Though the story is set in a desolate place at a dangerous time, there's no mistaking that Rainsquall is a story about healing. I was first drawn into this book because of the promise of mystery, danger, and perhaps a monster or two. I was not disappointed!

Along the way however, I found myself thinking less about the events outside the little farmhouse and more about the love blossoming between the characters. Each of them have been hurt in different ways, and while it's touched on, the story doesn't dwell on it or draw it out for sympathy. Instead, we're invited to experience the different ways they try (and sometimes fail) to connect with each other and embrace the things they've been denying themselves.

What I found especially enjoyable in Rainsquall was that the main character's disability was treated with respect. He didn't sit around lamenting his fate and wishing for a cure - he just approached certain tasks in different ways. He didn't have magical powers that negated the disability completely - he struggled, and it frustrated him. The other characters didn't treat him with kid gloves or infantilize him - he probably would have kicked their asses if they tried.

By the way… Though it has nothing (or perhaps everything) to do with the plot, I have to mention one little thing. Fiber artists in particular will find little nods and winks just for them in this book. It's clear the author has a strong understanding of wool and sheep - and knows how to break the rules now and then in a way that makes sense. You'll see what I mean. ;D
