Realising my type is literally just villain. Alive isn't even a requirement. Bitch could just be evilly haunting the narrative and I'd still be like "I want that one"
everyone wants to cry about the lack of media literacy until someone wants to point out that their headcanons are illogical and impractical to the character and story
I will lock in tomorrow like nobody has ever locked in before
.
Last adult man character you talk about is now your lover-how is it going
Why him
This is awkward
His partner is hunting me for sport
I'm kissing him on the mouth
No thank you
I don't want this
Enjoy

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre – Comics
A general overview of major comic series and adaptations based on The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise.
These comics span multiple timelines, continuities, and publishers.
Hey, idk if anyone’s asked yet but I’d LOVE a deep dive into your thoughts about Sloane and the Hewitt family’s dynamic
hehe thank youuu I'm working on the post now but it might take a while between work, classes, and other personal responsibilities but trustttttt it issss cominggggggggg
I’d love to hear your opinion on if Thomas knows he’s adopted or not? 🤔
I absolutely think he knows he's adopted!
I could make a mile long post deep diving into Sloane, her death, the slaughterhouse and the community to really get into why I believe there's no way he wouldn't know, but first and foremost, I believe it primarily falls back to the Hewitt family themselves. (But if anyone wants that deep dive post, I'm always itching to talk about it 👀)
Following my personal headcanons for the Hewitt family and their personalities, I think Luda Mae might be the only one who wouldn't want to tell him, mostly out of fear that he might feel even more rejected and alone than his disease already makes him feel.
But as for Hoyt (or Charlie at the time), he not only believes that Thomas not only deserves the truth, but he believes that it would make him feel more connected to them; knowing that they chose him and continue to choose him despite his disease and odd behaviors.
It's something they argue about quite a bit behind closed doors before Charlie gives his mother an ultimatum of 'either you tell him or I will'. But honestly? I think Monty was the one to tell him, and I think he was kind of a dick about it.
To give a little context on Monty and Thomas' relationship (without diving too much into it-- But seriously. Someone ask me to give you the background on Sloane and the Hewitt family. I dare you), Monty isn't particularly overtly fond of Thomas, but doesn't dislike him, either. He very much so views Thomas in a "Well, if they say you're family, I guess that makes you family." Sort of way that Luda Mae and Charlie don't share.
I think the most probable way that Monty spilled the beans, was that Thomas-- as a kid-- does the stereotypical autistic thing, and just takes everything everyone says at face value.
This is something that my autistic sister does, too. It is a largely invaluable source of entertainment for me because I often deliberately tell her something insanely false and she believes my word as if it's law. (Don't worry, it's all in good fun with each other and I do fess up and tell her the truth in the end).
I think Monty does something fairly similar, however, there are two important distinctions here: 1. When Thomas was an itty bitty kid, Monty did NOT realize that Thomas actually believed him, and 2. Even after he did, I don't think he always made sure to tell Thomas the truth (I think this led to Thomas having some insanely inaccurate and downright silly beliefs that he just doesn't realize aren't real).
So one day, Luda Mae had a friend over and one way or another they got to talking about pregnancy and labor stories. And Thomas gets curious and notices Luda Mae is only talking about when she was pregnant with Hoyt. And Monty, being Monty, makes a classic dad/uncle joke being like "We found you in the dumpster!" Not even really thinking about how that is how they found him.
And Thomas is just like "Oh. Okay." And everyone else just assumes he understand it to be a funny like crack up like all dads/uncles make.
It's only years later when Luda Mae and Charlie finally tell him the truth that they realize that he had unintentionally known for years, thanks to just not understanding a joke.

[ID: "Cold weather reminder. Do NOT plug space heaters into power strips or extension cords. Plug space heaters directly into the wall outlet. Power strips are not designed to handle the high current flow required by a space heater and can overheat causing a fire."
A photo is attached of a power strip with an extremely charred end. Part of the power strip's wire is also charred. End ID]
My husband, an electrician, told me I have to reblog this.
For clarification's sake, is this true everywhere? I ask because I know that different countries have different quality home electricity provision; American home electricity Ain't Great compared with most of Europe, for example. In Wales I have never heard of this being a Thing, but our electricity comes in 240V flavour, so possibly the higher current naturally avoids this issue?
My British husband (not an electrician but electrician-adjacent) says yes this is true in the UK as well - anything that uses a lot of power should be plugged directly into the wall rather than an extension lead
Good to know, thank you!
*gets up to replug space heater*

PSA DO NOT USE PORTABLE GAS HEATERS INDOORS!!!
Hi this psa is brought to you by my boss nearly killing us via carbon monoxide poisoning.
Heaters like this are labelled for Indoor/Outdoor usage, however that indoor label is misleading af.
Indoors in this context means a drafty garage or car port, not your living room or bedroom. Unless the room you're in is well ventilated with fresh air, don't use this fucker indoors.
Please reblog for visibility, this could quite literally save a life.
Hey again!! How do you think Thomas would react to meeting someone with a similar skin condition or was deformed in anyway and got treated similarly to how Thomas was? (Childhood friend undertones) How do you think Thomas would treat a fem partner too with a deformity or skin condition?
Well, let me just say this before I dive into it.
As much as I love respecting canon, and sticking to the 'real' story, some of the aspects in this movie are just overdone, inconsistent, and really wash out a lot of the better aspects of the story.
Part of this, for me, is Thomas' deformity.
I have a question: What do you think is going to happen if Thomas ever meets somebody who's blind? Or I guess the more accurate question would be, would Thomas ever keep a reader whose not exactly good sighted?
Cause it's one thing not being able to see his appearance, and anathor for either naturally being kindhearted or mean because that's a part of their personality.
Well, I don't think being blind or having bad eyesight would really be a factor.
Not being able to physically see Thomas wouldn't take away all of his other insecurities. I think in a childhood friend scenario it might make it easier to initially befriend him, but as an adult, it'd be almost exactly the same as if you had great eyesight. He might be more inclined to helping you before they start killing, but afterwards, I think it would be just as difficult.
With that being said, I also believe that it wouldn't be a factor in keeping someone around or not.
I've mentioned in a previous post that farm life is laborious, and the Hewitts will expect you to pull your own weight around the house.
That being said, once Thomas has his sights set on keeping you, they'll simply adapt to the disability and find things you are good at doing.

FACIAL MICRO EXPRESSIONS FOR WRITERS <3
Thomas Hewitt does NOT have a breeding kink
A thesis
Tommy is very insecure about the way he looks because of his skin condition. I don't believe he would want to pass that down to a child. He wouldn't his partner's possibility of a beautiful family to he tainted by his condition.
He doesn't trust himself to be a caretaker. His whole life has been spent killing and he wouldn't trust himself enough to nurture and provide in the way a child needs.
I think there is a misconception that he is animalistic during sex, but truthfully that idea often feeds into the way he has been treated his whole life. He isn't an animal. He is a human with human emotions and he wants to be loved as any human would.
I think that if you wanted to start a family, however, he would want to wait until a family comes by with a child the two of you can adopt.
