Believe is or not this started with a ridiculous, silly thing I wrote to make friends on Discord laugh. There is a version those friends jumped in on that just kept getting wilder, but I hope this one is good, too. ;) Thank you to @padawanton , for being encouraging while I sent like 75% of this fic three lines at a time to ask if it was ok. Your thoughts and encouragement mean the world to me. Thanks, also, to the Sapphire Lounge pals, who were cheering me on and making me laugh as we shared in the Lobby Chaos. I still always feel really shy every time I post something, so I'll say I really hope you like what grew from where this started.

Vox's screen, laid as it was on the pillow with no body to tuck under the blankets, flickered between darkness, occasional snowy static, and what appeared to be a tranquil seascape with fish swimming by amongst corrals. Perhaps it was a sign of dreaming, at least that was what Alastor had long suspected (he'd never actually asked).
A brief, low tone of sound emanated from Vox's speaker-- waking-- and Alastor leaned a bit closer, his smile stretching, though he didn't bare his teeth.
"Good morning, dear." The Radio Demon let his voice slip into something soft and for all his trouble, Vox's eyes snapped open and he immediately fritzed out into a blue screen; a rainbow pattern; a face again-
"There we are." Alastor's eyes crinkled at the corners.
"Who the fuck let you in here?"
"Oh," Alastor chuckled, pupils ticking for a blink into radio dials. "You think I need to be let in? Delightful."
"What the fuck do you want, Alastor?" The edges of Vox's voice blunted into something impatient.
"Straight to business, aren't we?" At Vox's deepening scowl, Alastor rolled his eyes. "I've come to deliver an invitation, as a matter of fact."
