STRANGER THINGS - ALL STEDDIE
COMPLETED SERIES
All I'm Saying, Pretty Baby (26K total, rated E)
Five fics following the dirty talking adventures of Steve and Eddie, starting with a run-in at Skull Rock. Post-S4. Rated E. Lots of dirty talk, friends to lovers, angst with a happy ending.
That douchebag was neglecting Eddie and the more Steve thinks about it the more he wants to get his hands and mouth all over him, erase any trace of stupid Bryan and cover Eddie in touch. Steve grips Eddieâs shoulders and then basically does too much with his hands â one back up in Eddieâs hair, tugging it to the side so Steve can access his neck and place sucking bites there like Bryan wouldnât give him. One hand against the flat plane of Eddieâs chest, getting the shape of him, then around to Eddieâs back, pulling him closer. Eddie laughs. Itâs breathy â Steve thinks heâs panting â and pulls back. âOkay, hot stuff, unless weâre doing this in the dirt, come here.â
The Milk and The Honey (63.6K total, rated E)
Steve and Eddie meet on a train to New York City in 1991. That night, and everything that follows. Different first meeting AU, Before Sunrise AU. Horror and fantasy elements, so much angst, very happy ending.
Full tumblr masterpost is here.
Other than the light-wash denim under his leather, the guy is all in black: plain black t-shirt, black jeans. Black boots that look like they were gone over with polish but not buffed to a shine. The only other nod to the color spectrum is a dark, handknit purple scarf, flecked with blue, wound loosely around his neck. A couple of chains disappear beneath the round collar of his shirt. Everything about him broadcasts tough rock and roll guy, except his face. Warm eyes. Amused twitch of a smile. In situations like this, where it's unlikely he'll see the other person again, heâs supposed to introduce himself as Gabe. Vecna is gone gone gone, but there are still people out there who might want to get information, might want to start the government Upside Down fuckery back up again. Theyâve all learned to have their lives but also, when needed, disappear into crowds. What comes out is unfamiliar honesty. âIâm Steve,â he says, and holds out his hand.
Upon A Savage Lake Verse (15.6K Total, mixed ratings)
Steve disappears for three weeks. Eddie finds him lying at the edge of Lovers' Lake. Post-S4. Vampire AU. A lot of blood, because there's vampires.
The last time anyone had seen Steve was three weeks ago. Heâd shown up at the Wheelers' house for a movie night Nancy was hosting, with this woman heâd just started seeing, Josephine. Even Eddieâs Kinsey 6 was wobbling towards a 5 with this girl â total sexy librarian, and Steve seemed beyond enamored. She was hot, and smart, and made a lot of sardonic jokes. She charmed and complemented everyone there to the point where they fell a little in love with her themselves. Even Nancy. And then Harrington had skipped town, just like that.
COMPLETED ONE-SHOTS
Shiner (14.5K, Rated T)
A Season 1 AU.
Eddie slams the box shut, drops it on the bench. âWho knows weâre here?â Tommy holds his hands up. âNobody! Just ââ Ah, the King himself. The fucking fading light even seems to know heâs entering the scene, sparkling through his unfair mane, across his broad shoulders. He dresses like an idiot. He is an idiot. What Eddie wouldnât give though, to have Steve Harrington glance at his mouth.
You Taste Just Like New York (17.7K, Rated E)
It's 1987 and Steve has one night on the town in New York before he ships Under to the Upside Down. Of all the bars on all the streets in all the world, he walks in to Eddie's. Different first meeting, one night stand to more. Somehow both a Dogfight AU and a Starship Troopers AU.
Whiskey slaps his hands down on the bar right in front of Steve, who flinches away from the sound. When he looks up, sparkling eyes are rapidly assessing him. The hair, the uniform, the overly straight posture. âHey there, sweetheart,â he says, loud enough to be heard over the music and noise. Steve finds himself leaning in even as heâs unsure if this guy is about to give him shit. âYou sure youâre in the right place?â Steve widens his eyes, looks around theatrically. Fuck, his head is really starting to hurt. But he needs this guy on his side if he wants in the bar. He knows that much. âIâm sorry, I thought this place served alcohol? Is this all a front?â Whiskey laughs like heâs surprised. âYeah. First drink is free, then we deliver your soul to Jesus. Sorry for the elaborate subterfuge, Soldier Boy.â
take me by the hand, make it last forever (2.5K, Rated E)
Light-hearted summer fun to more. Different first meeting.
After six years of crawling through his undergrad degree, Eddieâs pretty sure heâs lost nearly all of his mojo. But something in him makes him lean one hand on Steveâs burning hot car, keeps him from wincing in pain as he cocks a hip, tosses his hair back, and tries to resemble someone that a guy as hot as Steve might want to have some fun with. âI didnât know this was that kind of beach,â he says. He pointedly takes a step forward. Steve, bless him, holds his ground. âAre you that kind of boy?â
bleed for my baby bird (2.5K, Rated E)
Ill-advised, very post-S4 floor hookup, almost PWP. Angst with some hope at the end.
âYou know why you called me,â Eddie says. This combination, rage and lust and affection. Eddie thought for a while it couldnât be healthy. Heâs rethinking that assessment, the closer they get to their destination. âTell me.â âI. . .â Steve says. The car feels humid all of a sudden. Eddie can smell himself, metal and ash, and the slightest bit of Steve. Vodka. Bergamot in his cologne, coconut in his shampoo. âI wanted it to be you,â he says. The simmering heat in Eddieâs stomach breaks free and drowns him, right there in the driverâs seat. âGood boy,â he says, and takes a sharp left.
The Heavens Come for the Strongest Ones (3.7K, Rated T)
Five times Eddie figured himself out. Eventual Steddie.
He got a little obsessed with the 45 sleeve for Hot Love, would sneak it out of her underwear drawer where she hid it from his dad, and spend time with it alone in his room, staring at Mark Bolanâs high cheekbones and his beautiful hair. Eddie was maybe six, seven, and didnât really understand why he needed so badly to stare at this photograph of this rock star, self-possessed, handsome and strong. Thought maybe he wished Marc Bolan could be his dad, a dad who would understand Eddie and his mom and make sure they could afford all the albums they wanted. Thought maybe someday, he could run away, and be free like that, onstage, hiding from no one.
WIPs
Catch My Soul (epic one shot, 40K and counting, rated M)
A Warm Bodies AU. Eddie survives, except he's dead. He has a run-in with a certain post-apocalyptic soldier that might change that. '87 could be his year. Gore, violence, zombies.
Thereâs a man in front of the window, heâs cornered by three big freaks. He doesnât look afraid. He looks determined, and his jaw is strong, and his hair is lovely. Heâs dressed all in black and heâs holding a baseball bat studded with nails up over his shoulder, waiting for the perfect moment to swing. His energy is palpable to Eddie, sizzling toward him like a current crackling through water. Deep in the center of his chest, Eddie feels a single, stunning heartbeat.
You Are Something I Say in the Dark (series, final installment in progress, 22.7K and counting, rated E)
Eddie comes back from the Upside Down, but he's still connected and could be the key to saving Max. This, naturally, makes him a raving mess. He and Steve have sex about it while the rest of the gang tries to save the world.
Thereâs a dead poinsettia on the card table closest to him, rotted Upside Down style. Thatâs not creepy at all. Eddie looks around for a weapon and finds nothing of value. The punch ladle is as good as it gets in here. Okay. This is Maxâs mind. Or some kind of liminal space. And itâs the middle school gym. And T. Rex is playing. âJesus Christ,â Eddie murmurs to himself. âHow does Supergirl handle this shit?â But heâs not Supergirl. Heâs a coward. Eddie feels the weight of his ongoing shame about that for a moment, but then it sparks a thought. What else is he? A musician. A metalhead. A nonconformist. A DM.
In a Black Sky, Where Your Dreams Collide (one shot, 12K and counting, currently rated M)
Steve and Eddie build a life together. Only, in hell. S4 AU. Eddie comes back to life. Canon typical horrors and shenanigans.
Steve sits up and swallows hard. His back feels messed up, but heâll have to address that later. The blast, or whatever it was, threw him across the ground and he must have lost hold of Eddie. He rubs his hands across his eyes, realizes too late how dirty his palms are. Somewhere near him is Eddieâs body, and â fuck, thereâs like a hundred things to deal with right now, but he canât go forward until he takes care of that. Even if itâs a horrible sight, he canât just leave Eddie there on the ground. âYouâve faced a lot of shit, Harrington,â he murmurs to himself, getting to his hands and knees. He stands, feeling a pinch near his right hip. âYou can do this,â he says and slowly turns around. Against a nearby trailer, dangerously close to an engorged vine, sits Eddie Munson.Â
More updates on this soon!
