Lucerys Velaryon dies, leaving behind a family to mourn him and a realm to war for him. This does not change. Jacaerys Velaryon learns of this before he flies North, by virtue of a mother and a bride. Somehow, this changes everything and more.
(Or, where Luke still dies and the war still begins, but a brother's wrath could turn the world to kindle and a mother's grief could set it aflame, and the Realm will be reshaped for it. A mother is still a Queen. A brother is still a Prince. But Luke is gone and something must be done.)
