it is her father who elevates rhaenyra by naming her his heir and it is her uncle-husband whose help she needs to maintain that status. title after all mean nothing in the world set up by men. father gives it to her, brother tries to take it away and husband almost abandons her on a whim during the most delicate time. she can't escape it no matter how much she chafes at it she knows she needs daemon and it breaks her to know that he might just. leave. or worse betray. emma played rhaenyra's vulnerability and loneliness so well. i loved what they did with their relationship in season two and how it addressed and resolved daemon's jealousy towards rhaenyra for being chosen by viserys. how rhaenyra has grown up and out of that rebellious phase while daemon still very much needed to.
both her and alicent's arcs parallel each other. it really is their show and it's obviously written with the intent to centre around the two of them. just gotta accept it at this point.
