Well… yea… like everyone else I try to analyze context to my understanding,I’m pretty sure if sansa or any key 5 character were to get a serious downfall or killed that’s the side of the fandom that would be the most schizo I’m afraid cause they’re the most vocal part of the fandom for 20+ years into believing everything would be wrapped up in a nice bow when if you read or at least looked at 1 of George’s work that’s not asoiaf it’s just not something that happens

Sansa as a character both in fandom discourse and in pop culture has had the eternal cycle of saying “she’s useless and an evil traitor” vs “she’ll get raped and die a victim” “be the silent tragedy doll” vs “ queen of the north only is acceptable” vs “she has to placate whatever opp man of the month fandom fancies” where I’m like idk I think she’ll experience hardship but will mostly be fine cause that’s just character journey/writing , if not her tragedy has to make sense within the context of the books/her character and where she is right now and as a person that went from not thinking about her all that much to “I think fans are a bit nuts about her” to I want her to live and at least go home and destroy ppl who try to control her , I’ve made peace with the fact that I just don’t know wtf will happen but i hope she’ll have a satisfying ending at best cause in my heart of hearts ik george is a good writer even if he gives me tragedy ik it’ll be good af

YG as a character is like almost a non entity that I try to get him being introduced in the middle of all of all of this,like sansa all the symbolism to ME points to him clearly eventually having conflict with Jon con or at least being more interesting than being a puppet because it inconveniences fandoms plot theories that they’ve had since the show started and it makes them angry AF , like I can tell you that I believe he won’t die within the first few pages but still end up dying maybe like Robb’s role to the starks so like where does that leave us? Am I still not allowed to like the potential of his character might bring to the narrative or motifs that are just stuck to the martells like glue or the FACT that rhaegar’s role in his story is filled with second hand biased info from a delusional man (and 3 other delusional ppl) and from the rhaegar behaviour lore bomb that we just got from the play , aegon TU symbolism and how his position and status was discarded/ threatened by this deadbeat that might like idk say something about how YG might view his “father”when he learns more?? Or is that going to anger ppl that don’t even care about dorne/elia in the first place???? Because I don’t get why germ would waste our time introducing this character who has so much juicy potential for tragedy to just rot and die in twow chapter 5 cause fans have a “ I don’t want to think about it, I want the easy way” mindset

So like yea you can accuse me of being biased I’ve never said I wasn’t but like just cause I like characters doesn’t mean I can’t accept tragedy again this is the same fandom that tried brainwashing me when I was young into believing that Jaime killing his sister wouldn’t make him crash the fuck out or suicidal to the max or that the Lannisters including Tyrion wouldn’t destroy each other or the realm, like most of my thoughts are already unpopular to most of the fandom so I don’t get why you’d target a bittersweet tragedy enjoyer like myself :)

Rhaenys was legit begging for him under her bed and rhaegar didn’t give 2 fucks about her ,if this is the true canon he’s a BUM fr, my god I hope YG is a legacy of Elia despite having none of her blood like if he gets revealed how rhaegar actually acted not only is this a shock to YG ik Jon con will crash out if YG starts despising him,Robert should’ve beaten his corpse bloody with that hammer.

I’m not sure how canon the play is but my understanding is that Grrm heavily endorses it, with maybe some things being a slight deviation to be better adapted to a theatre rather than a book, I think a lot of the beats are the same.

So I can’t help but feel that three births, three comets (two signally births since Daenerys and Jon were conceived under the same comet but three if you include the one the dragons hatched under), three dragons. I just can’t believe these are mere coincidences and the three have to be connected somehow.
