Summary
After Bucky came back in from the cold, he’d been afraid that Steve wouldn’t allow him to be in his life. Bucky is not the person he was before…before everything. He’s not even entirely a person, not yet. He’s barely verbal. He can’t stand to be touched. He has nightmares. He forgets a lot.
But Steve had made a home for him. For them. And Bucky is working on it, learning how to be human again. Trying things. Ice cream. Sandwiches. Warm bread. Warm bed. Sleep. Rest. Smile. Rain and snow and a walk for the pleasure of walking.
He is content. They are together, and that’s all that matters to him—to be near Steve, and protect him. That’s all he needs.
Until he accidentally finds a sketch Steve has made of him, and discovers there’s still so much more to learn about himself and this “being human” thing.

If you're participating, or even if you're planning on participating, then you are invited! (No pressure obviously) Our server is application to join for safety reasons, but you'll only be asked two questions (what's your name, do you like fun) and be given a quick overview of our rules. Simple stuff! We're a friendly bunch who love coming together about our mutual love: STUCKY!
Every server has different rules, and it’s okay if you forget them sometimes, but they're established to keep the space fun and enjoyable. It might seem like a lot at first, but it all really just boils down to: don't be a jerk, fandom is a hobby.

This server is a creative event space centered around our two favorite super soldiers. It is not a hangout spot for general fandom (mcu/stucky-specific) activities. Obviously, our participants may use the available fandom-chatter and fandom-rec channels, but we ask that you keep the broader discussions to other spaces.
When you arrive in the server, you will be in ‘cryofreeze’ by default. This means you will not have access to any of the channels. You must acknowledge the rules to gain permission for viewing and posting within the entire server.
Introduce yourself in #the-registry channel within a day or two of joining, or you may be kicked. We don’t need to know your life details, but a little blurb about yourself and what you love about fandom goes a long way. The reason for this is safety, and most importantly, knowing that each new member is a real person.
User || spoiler bars to hide sensitive content (major blood/injuries, detailed descriptions/imagery of graphic and/or explicit content). If it’s something specific, give a warning for what people might be clicking into.
The use or sharing of generative AI is extremely prohibited. This is an anti-genAI server. No witch hunts. If you think something is AI, do not interact. It is impossible to know whether AI was used or not—AI was trained on creators' work, not the other way around.
NSFW content is permitted within the designated NSFW channels (recs, fills) and throughout both the creative and the fandom categories. This is an adult (18+) space where we assume everyone is mature. If that makes you uncomfortable, then this is not the server for you.
Purity culture will NOT be tolerated. This is a judgement-free space, as we do not debate over the morality of any material or the people who create it. Anti rhetoric and witch hunting do not, and will never, belong here. Ever.
To elaborate on what is also not allowed: fandom discourse (civil war/endgame/general mcu debates), fandom drama and gossip, real-life politics, extreme and excessive personal information, flirting, asking the mods to change a rule(s), and rudely and abruptly intruding on an active conversation.

STORYTIME. Last February, I sold a mug on Etsy. Common occurrence. Great. After it arrived at its new home, I got an email from the woman who bought it. She thanked me for the beautiful piece and remarked that the handle was perfect—she struggles with arthritis and finds many mugs difficult to hold. I was so touched!
Fast forward to six weeks ago—I receive an email from her husband, explaining he broke the mug (lol) and asking if I’d be willing to take on a commission to replace it. He reiterates how she has arthritis but also shares she used to make pottery, herself, but can only really paint, now. I say of course! Come to find out, he wants a WHOLE SET of mugs to replace the broken one. Even better! I end up making the whole set twice (I wasn’t satisfied with the first attempt), but finally get them packed up and sent off across the country.
I just received the kindest message from the husband, saying “It is not often in today's world that someone does 100% of what they have promised,” thanking me profusely, and sharing that his wife is already happily using the new mugs.
Anyway, I guess the point is that making art is hard. And commissions always cause me a lot of undue stress, but things like this remind me why I love creating and connecting with people. 💙
