2025 was a crazy year for me. I started my postgraduate research journey with my honours research which I am proud to say I got a distinction for. It was not easy in the slightest, especially paired with the insane coursework, but I am so proud of myself. I now have opportunities to present my results internationally and I know more great things are waiting for me.

I had to step out of my comfort zone many times this year but I believe it was for the best. I did things only few people can say they did. I participated in excavations, I touched fossils dating back millions of years, and most importantly, I made myself proud.

There have been several times this year where people have doubted me, including myself, but I proved us all wrong. Studying isn't easy. There's always going to be another challenge and another day when you feel like you can't do it. Keep fighting because that hard work does something. Even if all you have achieved is making yourself proud, you've done enough.

I never imagined my studies would take me to places like this. Between the late nights hunched over my laptop, I get glimpses of why it's all worth it.
