one thing thats different between the cordelia's i have is one (the old one) gave up the alliance to work w the republic again because shes tired of responsibility but i think the newer and canon one i have is going to keep the alliance because i think that's more in-line with her personal beliefs? as someone who is so painfully aware of the faults of the republic and the empire and who has never really sided with one or the other (even if she is republic-leaning on iokath), she would never willingly give up the position of power she holds because she realizes that the two major power forces in the universe have consistently let her down and that even if her alliance is short lived, she plans to make the most of what she can to stabilize the galaxy with what she has
