During their travels as Nimue and Merlock solidify a partnership on their mission to take down Yen Sid, their powers begin to have an effect on each other.
Nimue may be a keyblade master who is skilled in using the light, but she has also come to terms with how it affects her darkness. Her shadow is great, and she uses it to her advantage. Yet, she tries her best not to become too lost in it, and it's hard for the darkness to take hold of her due to her dedication to her virtues and naturally strong heart; therefore, Merlock takes the spot of her shadow, utilizing her light to boost his darkness. A relationship that begins as tenuous and awkward becomes uniquely parallel to the constant dance that light and darkness itself have in the realms; one without the other is nigh impossible.

Around the events of Kingdom Hearts 2, Nimue's ancestral keyblade (Suncatcher) is lost, and upon a Dive to the Heart, Nimue forges from her anger and sorrow a new keyblade: Heartbite. It encapsulates the pain from Yen Sid's 'betrayal' before their wedding, the loss of her home, and how she secretly knows it's as much her fault as anyone else's, but she refuses to acknowledge the truth.
surprise, another round of @khoc-week, Day 1 - Daybreak Town.
It's been 7 years since I started to talk about my twins ocs, so I decided to focus more on another kid for this year, Roka.
Roka is an oc who I had a complicated relationship with: born just to carry some of my brain's ungliest pieces, but surprisingly, every passing year makes me feel better and this oc more dear to me, to the point that she's finally evolving over what was her planned lifespan to bloom into her own character.
Roka is a chronically sick kid. Her body fails her every day a bit more, but that doesn't make her less determined to do her part in town, Ursus' stubborness helps her hiding her frail feminine nature to the others by dressing up as a boy. No pity allowed. Being the weakest Ursus kid in town also makes her Aced's personal pain in the arse, he even tried training her himself, really digging into that little bit of patience he has... Surprisingly beneficial for him.
He grows very attached to the kid, to the point that when he discovers Roka's health's situation worsening he's the one asking Gula for help (a bit of headcanons about foretellers having specialized fields of interest, and gula's are alchemy, potions and medicine). Roka has nothing special but Gula owes one to Aced and even if great darkness looms on Daybreak Town announcing the war, he finds a little time to develop a potion for her, with the help of her assistant Leonna.
It's not a miraculous cure, Roka's life will depend by consuming it regularly, from now on. It's not perfect, but it's the best she has ever been so far. Aced and Gula confide in Luxu keeping an eye on her during her rehabilitation process so she doesn't wander around the tower and remains unaware of the chaos in town. This will be a very boring time because every foreteller is now very busy trying to keep things together, with poor results, so Luxu, the invisible one, the secret apprentice, the one nobody really cares about except the Master, starts to spend time with this sick but very amusing girl.
They bond nicely, and even after being "discharged" Roka has a way to always tell when it's him approaching her in town... Gestures, the pace, the little quirks. She has no idea how much feeling seen helps Luxu, now that everything is about to collapse. He has a role to fulfill. But maybe, just maybe, he can find a way to spare his new friend the sight of the fall of Daybreak Town,taking her somewhere else, somewhere safe... *continues in day 3*

But it's not that i have completely forget my other kids. art dump here, just simple life moments in town, old and new. The twins and Lupe have recently befriended Nyo, my good friend Onyx's oc. They live next to each other and sometimes have dinner together. Nyo works as apprentice blacksmith in the Moogle's shop and Touma is very interested in the language, so they have private lessons, kupo!

A few of the world prompts were a little difficult for me to put my ocs into, so I went with the alphabetical prompts on the event Carrd!!
For this, I went with Potion/Elixir!
Nimue's mother, Isolde, was a renowned potion brewer and charmer, whipping up potions, ethers and elixirs all while blessing bangles and giving weapons and armor an extra boost. Nimue loved watching her mother create colorful concoctions that would be sold to anyone, from warriors to the blacksmith to anyone who was a little down. Isolde often had to be aware of how close her rambunctious daughter was to the cauldron, but in time she was a pro stirring with one hand and affectionately shoving her kiddo away from her work.
Ahhh look at her!! Little Nimue is such an adorable little cutie, lookit that face!
Isolde just fondly keeping Nimue safe from the hot cauldron and from messing up her potions so casually is fun xD It really gives a sense of normalcy, a usual everyday occurrence for them <3

Halloween Town is one of my favorite worlds in Kingdom Hearts, but I wanted to add a twist to this prompt and include my favorite Disneyland Ride, the Haunted Mansion! 🕸️๋࣭ ⭑
Every Christmas, the Disneyland version gets a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that has these adorably stupid plants that sing, so I thought it'd be funny if Xigbar tried to 'gift' Xana a bouquet of them just to freak her out. Who says romance is dead?
Xana's outfit is inspired by the Beating Heart Bride from the ride, while Xigbar is just a generic vampire (I'm unoriginal lol). And of course I had to include the evil toys since the duck is my favorite~
