Reyn he/him 22y Reyn is a young noble who was engaged to Leon Strohl. They met when Strohl was 18, and Reyn's family helped him out of a tough spot. Over time they developed feelings for one another and decided to get engaged. The actual getting married part never happened, as they both seemed to be waiting for Something.

In the relationship, Reyn realized he loved Strohl and Strohl only loved him as a friend. Their relationship was already strained, but with the Tournament of the Throne, it only became further strained. Reyn ended up breaking the engagement. They still remained friends, but now Reyn spends time wondering if he can love someone else again...

Reyn who started out as a yumeship kind of joke,,,the pov Strohl leaves you for Will. But then I was having fun with Reyn's sad story. I also like the idea of Strohl having a friend in his past! Not completely alone.

for transmasc Will (and by extension transmasc Prince): I hc that the Prince knew from a very young age that he was a boy, young enough where a universal swap from "Princess" to "Prince" was relatively painless. I think his mother would be more than ready to accept him as such, Hythlodaeus maybe a bit less so; but he loves his child regardless, so it wouldn't take much convincing from the wife that this is normal and fine.

I also have this hc that while Prince was AFAB, Will at creation was basically a cis boy, because I think Will would be... not exactly an idealized version of the Prince, maybe more like a projection of the nature of his inner self. and then, when Will and Prince merged back together, then it was Will returning to Prince's body (including his body type). beyond that, I don't personally hc Will as experiencing much body dysmorphia over it, maybe in part because he is okay with the idea of carrying Strohl's children

for nb Strohl: I'll be honest, I don't have a ton of thoughts compiled on this yet, because the idea initially came from something silly that happened to a friend, and then my brain hooked onto it. what I do have though is that I imagine something about just being considered 100% "man" doesn't sit right with Strohl, drawing a bit from that conversation where he says things like how the noble customs/expectations of noblemen feel foreign to him. I don't think it would be something he put much thought into until the events of Metaphor or after

a lot of my other hcs are just kinda based on vibes. like with Eupha being a demigirl. idk I just get that vibe from her y'know
