They are helping so much getting me through the first few months of the year. In the fall, when im back in college classes, I hope I'll still be entertained by them.

Currently reading: I'm rereading Role Model by Rachel Reid and Change Your Win Conditions by Vee (Vera_DragonMuse) on AO3. So far, Role Model is my favorite book of the GCU (I still have to read Tough Guy and Common Goal after taking some advice on Reddit that this was the best reading order) because I just love Troy: he's my age, did some shitty things to survive a toxic environment, but later found his courage and made amends for contributing to the horrible culture at the Guardians. I love a redemption arc!
Current obsession: Kehlani, Troy Barrett, the GCU in general. You can't tell me that when Shane & Ilya have a fight, Shane starts packing an overnight bag, Ilya stands there, transfixed, watching him fold clothes, and immediately apologizes, begging on his knees for forgiveness. I know this isn't the point of "Folded," but this is what I see when I hear it.
Currently working on: A fic exploring if Troy's dream of dating Shane Hollander came true (with two endings). I'm planning on ten chapters, and I'm working on the code for chapters 1 and 2 using a workskin from another AO3 user, but the images are not showing up. I might need to go in a different direction. I also have a GCU playlist Spotify fic in progress (chapters 1-5 of 10 now available to read on AO3), but I'm currently obsessed with my Trane (read: Troy + Shane) fic.

My beloved Loons, I come to you with a fic recommended to me by @harbingeroflesbianism, and written by @hoefungus, for your reading pleasure. THE BOYZZZ 🙌🏽 is a textfic snapshot of the group chat Carter Vaughn creates for POC in the MLH, including familiar faces (Shane, J.J., Bood) and some new friends (OCs) you'll come to love as much as I do. This fic illustrates how being a POC in a predominantly white space can feel tiring, as if you have to represent an entire community by yourself. But with support from friends who also know this experience, it's easier to bear.
(Spoilers for The Long Game ahead)
