"Isn't that, like... a kid's movie?"

"It's got more emotional depth than you do."

"That's..." Trinity just wrinkles her nose and shoves Victoria's shoulder.

"Seriously, we should watch it. Movie night, bring a date, I don't care. We're watching this."

"My movie date nights usually end differently..." Samira mumbles.

"Well tell your perv girlfriend to keep it in her pants while she experiences a masterpiece," Victoria shoots.

Samira walks away muttering "I... don't think I'm gonna say that."

Cut to Friday night, there's a gathering at Victoria's apartment. Samira, Trinity, and Victoria are with their respective girlfriends. Baran, Emery, and Cassie are sitting on the couch. Victoria's tucked into Cassie's side, Samira is sitting between Emery's legs on the floor, her girlfriend playing idly with her hair as the movie goes on. Trinity and Yolanda are bunched together on the adjoining armchair, both reaching out to hold Baran (who said, despite how much she loved them, that she refused to be suffocated).

So they watch The Wild Robot.

Baran thinks it's sweet, a charming little movie that gets a little emotional. Emery and Yolanda are like "what the hell are we watching rn" and trying to act tough while lowkey getting into it. Cassie fell asleep.

Samira, Trinity, and Victoria are fucking sobbing. I'm talking sniffly, hiccuping, full-chest crying at this movie. You would've thought they'd watched a family of puppies being killed when Brightbill learned how to fly.
