What's your blog title from?

it's a very very obscure reference to A Bit of Fry and Laurie!! idk why I picked THAT sketch lol, it's not even one of my favourites, but I was just watching it at the time and here we are!

2. What movie have you watched most recently? What did you think of it?

ooooh now I've suddenly forgotten every movie I've ever seen. umm...."Evil Under the Sun"! it's an Agatha Christie flick from the 80's. some funny moments with young Maggie Smith and Diana Rigg...not my fave Christie adaptation, but it's fine.

3. what are you looking forward to right now?

visiting my mom on the east coast!! unfortunately I have to wait until work is less wildly busy....

4. if you could do anything at all today, what would it be?

BRO. all I want is to have time to just....loiter at a coffee shop. have my laptop open. no chores to do, no work to do, no trips to take, no museums to scour—just TIME TO WRITE.

5. What's your drink of choice? (Coffee/tea order, alcohol of choice, pop, etc)

I'm a devoted multi-beverage girlie—I always have water and earl grey tea (one sugar and oat milk) in arms' reach!! coffee with only oat milk is a Sometimes Treat

6. What's your hair routine like? Anything special?

I'm afraid I fell prey to the curly girl vibe....after washing I slather everything in curl cream and gel and a bit of mousse and scrunch with a hair towel!! then of course I have to twist it up under a bonnet. a bit higher maintenance than I'd like, but it gives me time to read fic in the evenings while I get myself sorted out!

7. what's your favourite way to travel? Is there a mode of travel you haven't done that you want to experience?

oooh, excellent questions here!! recently I took the train to Ottawa, and it was a REALLY great experience. proper luggage situation without having to decant my shampoo into a tiny bottle!!! no security line to make you take off your shoes!! 10/10

8. favourite month of the year and why?

May and October—I'm a light jacket aficionado!!

9. favourite time of day and why?

early afternoon is the BEST—that's when I'm the most awake and productive!

10. do you play or follow any sports? & elaborate on that?

I'm not super into sports...I mostly check in for the Olympics! faves include: bouldering, figure skating, skateboarding, luge, gymnastics, bobsled

11. what kind of music is stuck in your head a lot lately?

I am SO prone to stuck-in-head syndrome!! lately I've been alternating between 'When A Good Man Cries' by CMAT, 'Victim of Luck' by Metric, and 'Black Friday' from the Starkid musical of the same name

12. dishes or laundry?

laundry, laundry, laundry ANY DAY. love any chore you can just leave for an hour and come back to!!! that said, I'm the reigning dishbish at my place. sigh

13. what's something you learned recently?

the Canadian version of 'This Land is Your Land' got popular before the American one?!?!?! low key didn't know there was an American one until much later in life lol

14. if you could give a TED talk on anything, what would you talk about?

the correct usage of hyphens, en dashes, and em dashes—AND why AI can fuck off, I'm keeping the em dash!!!!!

15. What's a piece of advice you find yourself giving a lot?

"fuck it we ball...FIWB"

16. what's a piece of advice you would give to yourself five years ago?

please relax!! it's all low stakes!! what're they gonna do, kill you?

17. do you believe in luck and superstition? Do you carry any lucky items or follow any lucky rules?

mmmmm no, not really. I make "knock on wood" type jokes lol, but I don't genuinely believe in universal forces of any kind. no hatred to anyone who does, of course!

18. Are you musical? Play any instruments or sing? Would you ever perform for an audience?

used to be, still am, sort of!!! I was a hardcore choir nerd in high school & at church (soprano), used to play guitar (passably) and violin (badly), and I'm still a big musichead!! I love most genres across all recorded music, but particularly alt, hyperpop, neo-soul, and rap!!

19. Write, type, or speak?

typing, no contest!! talking's a close second, though—some things are just best conveyed in speech!! I just type so much faster than I can speak or write. my handwriting really does seem to be getting worse by the minute lol
