Aaaaaand BEHOLD! QftQ’s mega-major-spoiler characters :P

The Holy Being: Don’t ask me what the odds of the Director’s uniform surviving literal centuries are. Only thing missing is the reflective mask, but then, B minds that part a lot less when it’s Pan’s body and not his :P The book specifically mentions that Pan looks somehow taller when commanding the Order, and while that could just be metaphorical, it was a lot funnier to moi personally to basically have B wearing lifts in his shoes to look taller (partially ‘cause he’s a lot more used to being tall and partially because it’s difficult to loom imposingly over everyone in a short body :P). I also made an effort to make the clothes look baggier than when I draw them on B—they fit his frame much better than Pan’s—which is why the belt on the torso looks so off, it’s not meant for someone of Pan’s size. I was kinda trying to do perspective here, not sure how well that worked or how intimidating this actually looks (since that was the effect I’d wanted), but he’s got the dead-eyed glare down just fine (and the scars are because, as I’ve said before, B was not particularly careful with Pan’s body). Lastly, as for the hair…well, B got so sick of how impractically long it was that the second he got to a monastery after decapitating Vivor, he went and cut it. B is not a good hairstylist :P

The Oracle: You know, I’m realizing that between all my oracular-type characters (the Letterinth oracle’s beta design, Reader Amethyst, and now QftQ-era Ty), I use a very similar style: loose cloak with a hood. This might come from an older character of mine, an oracle-type who had that exact same style XD But yeah, Bordergrams’s descriptions of the cast remain minimal, but Ty was described as having a necklace made of leaves and still having those purple pants after all this time…so I basically just threw a cloak over his original outfit and called it a day. Never underestimate my laziness :P Like my earlier Inspector Who art, his hair’s out of the braids because you simply don’t have time to do that in a war, and he’s got the eyebags because…well, fighting a war against your world-destroying former friend and possible crush is many things, “exhausting” among them ^^;

Death: Kinda drew the same outfit twice, huh :P Pure serendipity that my Director design fits a fantasy timeframe so well. The one exposed eye, I didn’t steal from Con I swear—we hit the idea independently, they just happened to draw it first ^^; I did steal the graying out hair from them, though in my case, it’s more to emphasize the whole “dead” thing—similarly, that the helmet can expose Pan’s face in the real world but completely covers B’s in Ignomia is perhaps a bit of symbolism, of B losing his old sense of self 👀 His skin is very grayish and discolored because…well, you know how the Light was powered by Render losing a lot of blood? And how Render is B’s descendant? And how the Light being activated or nearly activated in the past meant there was only…one person who could’ve provided the blood for that? …yeah :V Slightly less horrifying note, the clothes are tattered because that looks cool/personal HC reasons (for a hint, you might be able to guess via them how B went out the first time), and while it’s very hard to see, he’s still got the leg brace! It’s just that, again, with the cape in the way it’s very hard to see :P

Render: I feel like I sort of forgot to draw this guy ^^; But anyway, while his base outfit stays the same, the accent colors and accessories have all changed; I mentioned a while back that purple becomes his color after character development, and indeed, purple he is! He’s got some scars on him, because ya can’t be a Bordergrams protag without being banged up to hell and back, he no longer looks dead inside because character development, and most notably, his hair is shorter! Cut it himself with Truestrike :P Incidentally, you may be wondering why I chose this color specifically for Render. To which I’ll say: some of y’all have already figured that out (or, at least, I’m pretty sure some of y’all have figured it out), and if you’re familiar with Murdle (which all y’all are, probably), you might be able to work out the reasons :P

Leigh: Leigh’s outfit switch comes when she starts traveling with Render; her haircut is from near the end of the book :P I wanted to preserve the general feel/color scheme her previous outfit had while also giving her something more…practical. Ya can’t go on a quest in a ballgown and heels :V I like the way I drew the whip, and how I shaded her hair (any resemblance to previous Bordergrams characters’ hairstyles is entirely coincidental. On part of Leigh), and just…ignore the boot. I tried to do perspective there and it did NOT work the way I wanted :V
