I need everyone to know that I worked at Six Flags Great Adventure when these ads were huge and they had someone there dressed up as the old man wearing a latex old man mask that completely covered their head and you could get your picture taken with them
And every time I'd pass by the booth on the way to my station I'd see that poor worker dressed in a full suit wearing that latex mask dancing their heart out under the full heat of the summer sun and know that for at least one person hell was real
Usually the gag rewards don't really work for me. Like it feels better to have no reward or just do a statue like they do for Make Some Noise than something that's barely a joke.
But "Winner winner" "Chicken dinner!!!" and then handing Ify a rotisserie chicken is top notch comedy. Like the comedy gods put their hands on the scale to make sure the giant jacked guy won the protein prize.

I feel like we're very spoiled by Game Changer when it comes to behind the scenes content but I'm always hungry for more. I want to know what the discussions are like for budget. Like they hired so many people for this episode. And not just in terms of the cast, but also so much work must have gone into building all those sets.
I have to imagine Sam is looking at Dropout's financials and just thinking of how many people he can make sure can pay their rent. Profit is nice, sure, but who needs profit when you can shoulder part of the industry? just looked it up. holy fuck. they did it by de-duplicating assets. I'm just. my jaw is on the floor. supposedly duplicating assets helps load times on HDDs but. holy fuck at what cost
it's worse than that: The Helldivers devs were told that duplicating assets would help HDD load times, but then they actually tested it and it had basically zero effect on load times!
So they had more than sextupled the size of their game by following industry standard practice that actually did basically nothing!
