I can't stop thinking about the Hail Mary actually having a bunch of vacuumed packed seeds on board for potential research purposes in case the crew actually did finish their mission but not enough resources on board to grow more than a few pots of small things.

And then Grace and Rocky get to Erid years later and the big problem is making the soil able to grow earth plants rather than figuring out an eridian made human food source and so they do figure it out and Grace helps a ton but once that's finished all that's left is the actual gardening and Grace HATESSS gardening 😭😭😭😭

Like maybe the work is too slow and too repetitive for him idk it's a chore like laundry or dishes rather than something he looks forward to.

And Simon notices that he leaves twice at the same time almost every day once in the morning where he looks excited (he's going to teach class) and once after lunch where he looks a little annoyed (he's going to check on the gardens)

Question:

With Grace's multiple eye mutation can he see from them? If so how well.

Can he feel them, do they cause pain?

Because that looks very painful

Heyyy I've gone back and forth with this a few times but he can feel them they aren't too painful but they do cause crazy migraines and he can see out of them but can't fully control where they're looking 😭😭😭 they also do range in blurriness. Like some of the eyes are basically blind and some of them have crystal clear vision 😮‍💨😮‍💨😮‍💨

He's too weak when they first find him to go through the surgeries he needs to remove the malignant tissue and the eyes so his first few weeks on the hail Mary are a medically induced in and out of consciousness motion sick nightmare I imagine his vision looks similar to a fly's (but blurry) I hate this actually I'm sorry reverse au grace LOLLL

Grace POV:

"When are you going to update this fic?" is pressue.

"Omg I've reread this SO many times it lives in my head permanently you have rearranged my brain!!" is FOOD.

"I am LIVING for this fic I can't WAIT to know what happens next!" is MOTIVATION.

After the lab explosion, Stratt is up and running almost immediately, way before anyone else

As Carl and Grace are building the box for the astrophage, the bodyguards in the back are each eating a packet of skittles

Rocky’s puppeteer is on the news at the very beginning of the movie

Yao’s body is much more decomposed than Ilyukhina’s — possibly because he’s older, but I’m betting he died earlier in the journey than she did

Grace starts doing math almost immediately after getting out of his coma which is hilarious

So much fox stuff is in Grace’s belongings, which begs the question: does he like foxes THAT much, or did someone in charge of packing for him see his fox sweater and go “yeah okay, give him a shit ton of that”?
