There are a lot of people in the notes going on about how I apparently don’t get femininity and how there’s nothing wrong with it if a woman enjoys it. The point of my post was to make you consider this:

Anything that makes a woman feminine in the eyes of society usually requires time (shaving, makeup, hair, nails), skill (makeup, hair, walking in heels), money (I really don’t think I need to list examples for that), is unpractical (makeup, heels, sandals, long hair, long nails, jewelry, dresses) or unhealthy (makeup, plastic surgery, hair products, heels, “waist trainers”).

It doesn’t matter if you genuinely enjoy looking feminine, all I’m trying to say is that the more feminine a woman makes herself appear, the less free time, money and mobility she has. There is no other positive aspect of femininity than the aesthetic and a positive response from your social environment. Maybe that’s worth it for you, but I think it deserves to be questioned why so many women choose that way.

two essential skills for artists

“good enough” and “fuck it”

“good enough” is when you are working on something and are happy with most of it but can live with a few imperfections, useful when needing to move on from sketch to inking/coloring or what have you.

“fuck it” is when you absolutely hate what you’re doing every step of the way but you post it anyways, very useful during art blocks.

both are useful to help you move on and not obsess over making it perfect, because art is anything but perfect, even photo realistic artists probably see imperfections that someone else might not catch

these can also be applied to other things in life
