men think they're soooooooo special because they're "not allowed" to express their emotions as if not being allowed to express their emotions isn't an universal thing for anyone with immature, abusive, invalidating, or neglectful parents.
"b-but it's socially acceptable for women to!" –is it??
last time i checked a woman not plastering a big smile, not being agreeable and is expressing any negative emotion is told she's overreacting, is being sensitive or irrational, or that she's on her period.
she's told it's not a big deal, she's being unreasonable or dramatic, and that she's making a big deal out of nothing.
she's told that other's have it worse than her, that she needs to get over it, and that she's blowing it out of proportion or imagining it.
she's told that she's being difficult and that "can't we just have one nice day?".
and about what i said about a big smile? well you better not have too big a smile or express excitement over the things you like — especially if you're a teenage girl then you're annoying and cringey and grown men will feel the need to mock you with vitriol.
on the other end of the spectrum if you're a stoic woman and don't express anything at all then you're an ice cold frigid robot bitch who "would look so much better if she smiled more".
miss me with that bullshit.
