Could be different groups in the same crowd.
For some reason, I strongly doubt OP is giving an unbiased, objective account of the situation, with full context.
This feels like a distraction from the whole "left-wing terrorist" thing, and much of the left's abysmal reactions (such as acting like Kirk deserved it), which many people on the left hated. You can't retroactively justify Kirk's death by pointing a finger at the right's reactions. Y'all sure weren't forgiving Kirk. So this is hypocritical at best.
He also acknowledged Erika had a differing opinion, and they might be able to convince him he's wrong. Literally in the same breath.
Also, it's kind of hilarious for folks who've openly hated and accused Trump of being the worst kind of person imaginable for a decade now to say "he shouldn't hate us back!"
Admitting you do or feel something is not the same as endorsing that behavior.
It is entirely correct, both morally and according to Christian principles, for the widow to forgive the murderer while the magistrate seeks justice.
These are perfectly compatible and in fact complimentary positions. It’s almost like different people have different roles in a society.
and is it morally compatible to show a funeral on TV with fireworks and large TV monitors? They caught the shooter. They will get justice. Please show me where a magistrate is allowed to seek "justice" aka political vengeance in the bible.
Yes, all of these things are morally compatible.
A major function of a funeral is to celebrate the life and legacy of the departed. The memorial was beautiful and the only people who didn’t like it are idiots who hate everyone involved anyway.
And there are far more people responsible for this than just the shooter. He didn’t decide Charlie needed to be killed all on his own. Everyone responsible for pushing the narrative that even normie conservatives like Kirk are existential threats must face consequences.
