Also, the idea that "physical castration would prevent rape" is genuinely disgusting and regressive. Not only does it imply that only people with penises can be rapists [a statement beloved by transmisogynists], it implies that rape only occurs when a penis is involved. That it doesn't count when someone uses their hands, an object, their mouth. That it's not rape when there's coercion, when there's inebriation, when there's an unequal power dynamic - it is only rape when someone with a penis forcibly penetrates someone else.

This is, of course, a line of thinking key to misogynistic rape culture. It is antithetical to feminism.

Actually, the idea that only men can be rapists is pretty popular in the feminist movement.

Influential feminists abd feminist groups responsible for making studies on sexual violence and influencing rape definitions in various countries openly atate that women cant be rapists/abusers.

Countries that tries to make rape gender neutral have actually been opposed by feminist groups.

To blame "rape culture" or "patriarchy" for ideas and beliefs that are promiment and perpetuated in the feminist movement is just silly.

The future existence of the personal computer was rendered inevitable in 1837 when Babbage first described his Analytical Engine, or perhaps even earlier than that in 1804 when Jacquard formalized and patented the Jacquard loom.

It's insane to leap forward over a hundred years to some people who were iterating on that (and countless other) work and say that they are the originators of the personal computer, because the personal computer was in development continuously pretty much since at least the 1850's.

No nation, nor people, can be credited with it's development, only individuals and their diligent work can be credited in this way.

We would 100% still have the PC if Israel had literally never existed.

Even without the poor biblical and historical knowledge, the premise is bad.

The Intel 8088 was just a cheapened 8086. Literally the only difference was they reduced the data bus from 16 bits to 8 for economic reasons. This is not an Israeli design by any stretch of the imagination. This is a simple modification to an existing design. It only took them 4 months!

The IBM 5150 was completely American (Florida!) designed so it's really unrelated other than they chose the Intel 8088 because it was cheap.

This post is a disaster.
