I'm gonna have to play devil's advocate on this one. The price increase of larger clothes is not even remotely proportionate to the additional materials and effort to make them. At most, it should be around a dollar or two difference. One extra foot of fabric is not going to cost $10+ more. Though I have extreme doubts they do it out of "discrimination".

the issue with growing up in the 2000s and 2010s was like there was this really big push toward "accepting your weirdness" overall but they meant like idk wearing mismatched socks or something not being tangibly beyond the norm in any way shape or form
