Im Very Confused

They are saying that because the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank don't have full citizenship rights in Israel, despite not being Israeli citizens, this proves that Israel is an apartheid state and discriminates against Arabs. Despite the massive Arabic population of Israeli citizens having full rights, positions in the government and even authority positions in the military over Jewish soldiers.

They insist because Apartheid South African considered black South Africans a separate country despite them being in South Africa, that means The West Bank, which needs to be a foreign country to be occupied by definition and is not considered to be part of Israel at all, is actually Israeli territory and this means Israel owes them Israeli citizen rights and not giving it to them is apartheid.

Needless to say, no matter what I said pointing that these were different situations and Apartheid South Africa doing what it did does not prove the West Bank is now suddenly part of Israel, they would not budge.

The disregard that leaks through parts of the MCU, two of the new Star Trek movies, and the new Star Wars trilogy really is baffling to me. I could go on AO3 right now and in half a dozen clicks get sweeping, beautiful, poetic treatises on the human condition written through these ‘Verses. Vast arrays of adventures starring these characters, and the characters themselves would be lovingly adored by their writers. I could enjoy content made by people who care.

Surely the goal is simply being able to off load emotional and mental baggage, not the method of doing so.

A man might play a sport, swim or run, releasing pent up tensions by doing that.

He might paint, play music or write and lay down his loads that way.

I applaud people who work on ways for men to be able to get together, to be able to ‘get things off their chests’ in situations that make them feel able and happy to do so.

We need to make that available to as many men as possible.

Men and women are all human. But we have differences. And one of those is in how we process and deal with emotions.

We can’t just expect men to do it exactly the same as women and then find them wanting when it doesn’t always happen.

There’s nothing wrong with a man crying, perfectly true. But there’s equally nothing wrong with a man who doesn’t often feel the need to cry.

Just as long as he doesn’t make the mistake of holding everything inside.

Because that really isn’t good for you, guys. It’ll find someway to get out and you might end up just suffering more when it does.

How you get it out doesn’t matter. Just as long as you do.
