In 2015, a reported 18 black trans women have been murdered in America. Just 12 transgenderwomen of any race were killed in the entirety of 2014. Despite a wave of trans publicity â spearheaded predominantly by reality TV star Caitlyn Jenner and actress Laverne Cox â life without the protective vest of media is clearly not so simple for transgender women, particularly those of colour.
To that end, the #BlackLivesMatter movement organised #BlackTransLiberationTuesday in cities across America to shout loud for the women that have been killed and draw global attention to the idea that these are people and communities that need protecting urgently.  (by Thomas Gorton)

This is really important! A growl is a dogâs way of saying, âPlease stop, youâre making me uncomfortable.â If you donât stop when the dog growls or actually punish the behavior, the dog will learn that growling doesnât help her, and so she must find another way to defend herself. People look at me like Iâm the most ignorant dog owner EVER when I tell them to stop correcting their/my dogs for growling or snapping at each other. Itâs really no surprise that dog bites and fatalities are so copious. People teach their dogs not to given any warning before biting. You had no idea your dog was going to attack your infant climbing on its back? WellâŚ
I cannot stress enough how harmful punishing growling is. Itâs typically a dogâs way of saying that itâs uncomfortable with the situation itâs in. Donât punish a dog for being over threshold, remove them from the situation
It really pisses me off how people get dogs but donât do any research on their behavior. Only like 10% of the kids I work with know how to approach a dog and it scares the hell out of me.
