D'signs By Azania is dedicated to bringing the African Diaspora together, strengthening it, and supporting it. Each design has a profound meaning to elicit discussion and promote a new mindset. We are the African Diaspora's future brand. We are committed to designing the signs.

Here is a look at some of the sweaters and hoodies.

1. Choose to act, or to do what you should you. Don’t wait until you feel that you are in the right mood.

2. Decide to keep on going, and to finish what you’ve started. Don’t allow yourself to give up when you’re only part way through.

3. Be honest with yourself and call yourself on the excuses. They’re often just a cover for not wanting to do something.

4. Plan ahead and break large goals down into smaller, short-term goals – and put these on a calendar, and tick them off each day.

5. Remind yourself how great you’ll feel when later you’ve achieved and reached the goals you set yourself, and have that better life.

6. Also, distinguish what’s important and will matter down the road, from what is temporary – or seems worthwhile in the moment.

7. Try not to be distracted by the things that eat up time - like gaming, watching movies or just hanging out with friends.

I’d like to believe my ancestors dreamed of leisure and pleasure. When we lift up academia and corporate aspirations as our ancestors wildest dreams we do their imaginations a disservice. I don’t think people who were forced to work day in and day out dreamed about getting a job.

I think they dreamed about smoking. I think they dreamed about having consensual sexual encounters. I bet they dreamed of a world where their families weren’t ripped apart and they were immersed in community. I bet they dreamed about cooking for themselves, farming for themselves

I think the more we align with that we’ll be living our Ancestors were and for us. Forget capitalism, forge community.
