Wolfoxjade17 cuz I wanted to make a really meaningful username. I love wolves and foxes, as of all members of the dog family. So put those two in a blender. Jade cause I wanted to add something to Wolfox and at that time I wanted to symbolise my favorte color, ranging from dark blue to pale green. So I first tried with BerylWolfox, but Jade comes in a pretty pale green, and I sounds better. 17 as there was another Redditor called "WolfoxJade" so I chose a random number. (FYI: 17 isn't my fav number, just the first one I thought of).

Well i chose bookishandartsy bc when I made this account I was intending to talk about the books I love and post art occasionally, but turns out kotlc is basically consuming me so maybe I should be kotlcandartsy instead lol. Sorry its pretty uncreative lol

twinklefwinkle bc it's a callback to a joke from 6th grade! i was writing my last name and it looked like 'fwinkle' so then that js became a joke, I slapped on the twinkle bc twinkle fwinkle little star yk??? i really like stars...and then that became my user! I think it's a catchy and fun personal twist on things. Also twink is forever in my name now bc god knows I love my twinkies <3

tge is just the misspelled bc i accidentally made a typo while typing it in and decided to keep it because it makes it more likely the username isn't taken! and also because its a typo I make very often.

I will admit that my current username is not what it was when I originally joined, but that's a story for another time. I had account for a while but wasn't "active" on it. So around January/February I decided I was going to start blogging.

Okay this is a bit random but originally I was rain_cloudsx on Instagram because I think I wanted to make some sort of music related account (like doing keyboard covers idk) and I liked the vibes of Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain song; hence wanting something weather related I guess? Then before I actually posted anything, Covid happened, and it was a glee fan account for like 3 months, and then I created my ao3 with the same name. Came to tumblr way later, so just kept the name for continuity.

in my case, my favourite minecraft youtuber when i was a kid was named MipTheKing. I bought minecraft, I made my user mipTheQueen. Ive gone by mip since i was about.. 8? I guess? Thinking of adding it to my legal middle name🤔

We’re supposed to be able to ‘do it all by ourselves” and never show weakness and parade around acting like we’re made of teflon coated adamantium.

At the bolded, that’s not my intention. Your last sentences are what I really want in terms of giving Black people humanity. We are always supposed to be “hard,” both Black men and women. We’re supposed to be able to take any and everything and shuck and jive it off like good little Mammies/Uncle Toms.

There is a level of condescension that comes with infantilization. One can treat me as a delicate individual without acting as if I can’t do anything for myself.

My issue is the fact that Black women are denied femininity PERIOD, and thus my post may come off as gender essentialist in some ways.
