stina introduction scene was insane btw. dex turns her bald and sophie (who does not know stina and has known dex for 2 seconds) laughs at her. and then stina trys to fight dex. and then kesler tells vika to control her kid as if his isnt turning people bald a week before school and then vika calls him a slur and he tells stina to wear a hat WHAT all in like 2 pages

rereading the scene in legacy where sophie sees lord cassius’s memories of lady gisela having him drink those vials and jesus christ. i feel genuinely sick to my stomach
the description of how she coaxed him into drinking the vials, the unbearable pain he felt, and the way his body succumbed to the pain once he stopped fighting it.
the way he tries to defend himself in saying that he was experimented on to validate his own pain, how nobody in that room seemed to care about what they’d just seen happen to him in that memory..
and the way he acknowledges that it happened around the time gisela got pregnant. that was not a coincidence.
now that i’m rereading it, it’s sickeningly obvious what was done to him, whether it’s an allegory or not.

because wylan grew up an isolated kid i feel like he goes through a phase where he asks kaz to teach him all the kerch childhood games (which kaz takes very seriously) and over time wylan starts accumulating scrapes on his hands and knees, bruises, one day he even comes back with a bloody nose and when jesper asks where he got it from he just starts laughing uncontrollably because for the first time in his life he can say the marks on his body are from memories of pure, unadulterated joy
