buses would be better if they were free. like, they would run better. they would be better to use and better to drive. and they would do a better job of moving the public and reducing car traffic. and they don't make profits and are all subsidised. but The Market Is King so here we are.
Forgive me for being a little too American right now. But remember when you were a kid and rode the bus to school? You waited at your stop until the bus arrived, then you got on the bus and found a seat. Maybe you said good morning to the bus driver.
Imagine. Imagine being in your 20s and taking the bus home from the bar. And all you have to do is get on the bus and find a seat. You can say hi to the bus driver if you want. You can sit in the back with your friends.
Imagine a world where you don’t have to make sure your bus card is loaded or hunt down change or figure out what to do when the bus’s tap to pay has gone down because someone got mad and kicked it when fare went up. Imagine everyone can just get on and sit down, and no one has to wait for the person who can’t find their card.
