Happy Snowbaz Day

At long last, here is my finished project for Carry On's 10th Anniversary 💚💜

I desperately want to live in a world where Carry On has an animated adaptation. And while I'm not capable of bringing that dream to life in its entirety, I figured I could at least I could put together product mockups for a fictitious limited edition Blu-ray release! So here it is, styled after the many wonderful anime boxsets by Sentai Filmworks~

I used the chapter art from Any Way The Wind Blows for the bear's silhouette. The bear is made from card stock with red foil for its eyes. I drew the woman in Procreate, then cut her out of toner-reactive foil paper on a Cricut and foiled her with leftover red foil.

You can spin this little ornament around in different directions to see different sides of the bearwomanholebear!

Happy 10-Year Anniversary to my favorite book, and the start of my favorite trilogy!

This is unlike any other illustration project I've tackled, before. I wanted to illustrate them because... well, Simon's sword and Baz's violin are both iconic props in the story, and are wrapped up so thoroughly in each character's identity. I do love them so.
