okay i'm curious for no particular reason but that I personally prefer a small phone to the extent that I picked my current one specifically because it was the smallest model available (my hands... they are small..... why do i need to use both of them this is hell...............), but also, I do semi-regularly see people complaining that apple specifically makes small phones, or that they in generally prefer bigger phones. what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.
You know, there's this cliché that teenage boys always eat massive amounts, but teenage girls really aren't that different if they're not suppressed by diet culture and body shaming. Like, I was a teenage girl who frankly just stopped bothering to fit into mainstream beauty ideals at some point, and I would regularly make myself just one big massive pot of pasta and devour it completely. This wasn't even stress eating or anything, I just genuinely needed the energy because you know, I was a teenager and my body was developing. I feel like so many teenage girls think they need to eat as little as possible to be petite and pretty, but the truth is that your body is developing just as intensely as teenage boys' bodies. Eat more, please, your body needs it.

Doctor Who remains an important part of the BBC
the TL:DR:
Christmas special cancelled
Russell T Davies and his production company are leaving the show
RTD has confirmed on Instagram that there was never a script or proper plan for the Christmas special
The show is going out to competitive tender.
For anyone who is confused as to what 'competitive tender' means:
Caveat that my knowledge of tendering comes from a completely different industry but roughly speaking: other TV production companies will now have an opportunity to pitch their plan for making Doctor Who to the BBC and how much funding they would need and the BBC will give the show to whatever company can do it best and cheapest. Show will remain with the BBC, they are just looking for a new contractor for the production.
Essentially whether this is good or bad news really depends on the likely outcome of the tender and i have no idea what the likely outcome is.
the best case scenario here is that the BBC find a new contractor who can make an acceptable version of Doctor Who for less money and in a few years time we get a whole new version of the show with a new Doctor etc.
and then obviously the worst case scenario is that no-one wants the show or can meet the BBC's funding requirements and then you know. Wilderness Years 2!!!!
