DCBB 2015. The sea; it swallows me. It comes up to my knees and it swallows me. The boys owe Jody a few dozen favours, and so when her niece goes missing near an old fishing village on the coast of Maine, Dean, Sam, and a newly human Castiel agree to take the case on. They settle into an old abandoned lighthouse-keepers' cottage, and slowly the tide comes in. (post-s8)

My favorite destiel fic out there. Is it weird that it's my favorite? Whatever, it deserves first place.
It's just everything about this story. The scenery, the dreamlike scenes, the religious references. It's so compelling, so macabre and downright terrifying.
I would have DIED to see this on screen back when spn was still going. I love when things creep me the fuck out. AND when they creep me the fuck out AND they have religious symbolism (ironic since I'm an atheist)
ANYWAY
My cover definitely didn't do justice, BUT, there's this masterpiece made by @tiktaalic that will never stop to amaze me.
Honest to god, komodobits fics have so many talented fan, you can find the best art for them, like this cover set , or even this gif set (and let's not talk about the insane amount of fan art for Ninety One Whiskey, which I'll admit, guilty, that I didn't read yet don't kill me)
