Okay, so this is interesting. What happened here, what did I do.
Nvm this is Higgs.
There Are no Rules Here â Weâre Trying to Accomplish Something!
The strengths and weaknesses are on point. I rest my case.
Knowledgeable â Debaters rarely pass up a good opportunity to learn something new, especially abstract concepts. This information isnât usually absorbed for any planned purpose as with dedicated studying, people with the Debater personality type just find it fascinating.
Quick Thinkers â Debaters have tremendously flexible minds, and are able to shift from idea to idea without effort, drawing on their accumulated knowledge to prove their points, or their opponentsâ, as they see fit.
Original â Having little attachment to tradition, Debater personalities are able to discard existing systems and methods and pull together disparate ideas from their extensive knowledge base, with a little raw creativity to hold them together, to formulate bold new ideas. If presented with chronic, systemic problems and given rein to solve them, Debaters respond with unabashed glee.
Excellent Brainstormers â Nothing is quite as enjoyable to Debaters as analyzing problems from every angle to find the best solutions. Combining their knowledge and originality to splay out every aspect of the subject at hand, rejecting without remorse options that donât work and presenting ever more possibilities, Debaters are irreplaceable in brainstorming sessions.
Charismatic â People with the Debater personality type have a way with words and wit that others find intriguing. Their confidence, quick thought and ability to connect disparate ideas in novel ways create a style of communication that is charming, even entertaining, and informative at the same time.
Energetic â When given a chance to combine these traits to examine an interesting problem, Debaters can be truly impressive in their enthusiasm and energy, having no qualms with putting in long days and nights to find a solution.
But also.
Very Argumentative â If thereâs anything Debaters enjoy, itâs the mental exercise of debating an idea, and nothing is sacred. More consensus-oriented personality types rarely appreciate the vigor with which Debater personalities tear down their beliefs and methods, leading to a great deal of tension.
Insensitive â Being so rational, Debaters often misjudge others feelings and push their debates well past othersâ tolerance levels. People with this personality type donât really consider emotional points to be valid in such debates either, which magnifies the issue tremendously.
Intolerant â Unless people are able to back up their ideas in a round of mental sparring, Debaters are likely to dismiss not just the ideas but the people themselves. Either a suggestion can stand up to rational scrutiny or itâs not worth bothering with.
Can Find It Difficult to Focus â The same flexibility that allows Debaters to come up with such original plans and ideas makes them readapt perfectly good ones far too often, or to even drop them entirely as the initial excitement wanes and newer thoughts come along. Boredom comes too easily for Debaters, and fresh thoughts are the solution, though not always a helpful one.
Dislike Practical Matters â Debaters are interested in what could be â malleable concepts like ideas and plans that can be adapted and debated. When it comes to hard details and day-to-day execution where creative flair isnât just unnecessary but actually counter-productive, Debater personalities lose interest, often with the consequence of their plans never seeing the light of day.

Look guys, Idk what I expected but Iâm having emotions.
YOUR PRIMARY LOVE LANGUAGE IS: Physical Touch
A person whose primary language is Physical Touch is, not surprisingly, very touchy. Hugs, pats on the back, and thoughtful touches on the armâthey can all be ways to show excitement, concern, care, and love. Physical presence and accessibility are crucial, while neglect or abuse can be unforgivable and destructive. Appropriate and timely touches communicate warmth, safety, and love to you.

working shifts is the worst
Iâm very excited for my latest craft experiment, where I rhythmically slap sale rank oil paint onto a canvas and I see how long it takes to dry so that I can finally touch the paint textures I stare at so longingly in museums. 12 hours in, still wet. I am beginning to think this might take longer than I thought which you can imagine is quite a burden, as I am absolutely horned up to rub this paint.
You guys sound like you know what youâre talking about but Iâm gonna touch it every twenty minutes just to be sure
Iâve put this canvas to age in the basement like a fine wine, along another recent masterpiece of mine âI put the paint on me hand and I slap the canvas like a bongoâ
Paint slapped on 6/9, as of 6/22 (I mean actually it was a couple days ago but I didnât fully check the dryness then so I canât be sure):
It is rubbery feeling and the peaks of paint move when you flick them. The texture is not at ALL what I expected tbh and it makes me excited to try a different experiment, thick brush strokes, you know, those mad thicc ones that swirl real good
Hereâs an additional shot with my coffee cup for a further sense of scale so people will understand that these canvases are small and therefore stop sending me asks about my supposedly gorilla sized hands, you bastards, you rotten bastards scared of the hands your minds gave me
I donât know shit about art but isnât this like a great example of art that pushes the boundaries of what art is? Like youâve got your canvas with paint on it, but your reason for putting the paint there is totally different than why most people put paint on stuff. Itâs like a study on texture or something.
Agreed, this is really cool and also I love the fact that you really wanted to touch some paint, so you just went out and bought a bunch of paint and made your own painting for touching purposes. Thatâs striking me as really really cool right now for reasons I canât entirely articulate.Â
For reference: Really thick paint on a piece of art is called impasto. Another really fun way to do it is with a painting knife: you can make each stroke SUPER SMOOTH like cake icing, but with visible, touchable texture between the strokes.
More impasto:
art by Jan Ironside, who does THICK IMPASTO FLOWERS THAT I SO WANT TO TOUCH
You LITERALLY sat down to watch paint dryâŠ
Museums should have stuff like this on display JUST so you can touch it. With a sign like, âFeel me up! I wonât alarm!â
make good art
Only thing about thick impasto is that the paint can get a bit sharp sometimes. Like, Iâve cut my hand on dried impasto paint because the paint stroke was that pointed. -.-;
Every reply on this post is delightful

" C-cuddle..!? " zen stood on her tip-toes as she was huffing and puffing with tears streaking down her face. the child reached her arms up to the demen as she cooed. " Hiiggs..?~ " poor BB..
âWhattaya cryinâ for?â Higgs asked. It wasnât like heâd left her standing there for⊠however long she had been standing there. It couldnât have been long. He tilted his head to the side and reached down to pick her up, which was what she had wanted and should on all accounts remedy the crying in his equation.
zune-ishiâ:
â Y-.. yeah.. I asked Papa an H-he said he couldnât fine it.. I-in our home..?! â zenna pouted as she whimpered while she cuddled into the demen more and more. poor little girl. she was ever so distraught about loosing her favorite toy.. she practically carried it everywhere she went..Â
it must have acted as a security blanket..Â
the child sniffles as she continued to cry as she realized she might never get her little figurine back..Â
â Iâ.. Itâs probably broke somewhere or -.. I- Idunno..!? â she sobbed quietly as she hid her face within his shoulder..Â
âOf course,â Higgs replied, nodding solemnly, albeit having no idea how that related to magic or her appearance, but she was here now and that was what was important, he figured.
Higgs thought for a moment. Objectively speaking he had no idea how to console Zenna over her soldier. He really didnât. Nobody had ever bothered consoling him as a child. Not that there had anyone, except for dear old daddy. âSo, no soldier,â Higgs stated. âMaybe itâs in the wash because you always keep it in your pockets.â He then added, while Zenna buried her face in his shoulder as her tears wet his shirt. It was about the only thing he could let her do, while he awkwardly patted her small back. He had a vague memory of that happening in books and movies, but no idea if it was the right thing to do.
"Yo! Grumpy gold leviathan!" Lou may or may not have had 2 cups of coffee. "Whatcha been up to? Did you miss me? Did you remember to get your cloak dry cleaned?"
âHow did you get in here?â Slightly startled Higgs swivelled around on his desk chair. The cloak had been washed but Lou might have a hard time recognising that because it looked perpetually worn at this point. Higgs had pulled up his legs onto the chair and held a tub of ice cream in one hand, a spoon in the other.
âI missed your ability to convince Bridges to continue to give pizza, munchkinâ he replied with a grin.
bridgeslegacyâ:
âHavenât fully figured that hologram programming yet.â She admitted. Even if she did, sheâs more of a see someone in person kind of gal. Yes, that included Higgs. It was like you can get to fully know someone when you can see their person.
âReally? Sounds pretty lazy to me.â Typical. While wanting to avoid BTs is a struggle, sheâs grown to understand them more than she did when she was still in the pod. That being said, sheâs not so careless as to run into them head on.
âWhat flavor do you have?â Lou couldnât help but to ask about the ice cream he was eating.
âOf course,â Higgs replied, nodding solemnly, albeit having no idea how that related to magic or her appearance, but she was here now and that was what was important, he figured.
It was nice that she came to see him, few people wanted to, to begin with. âI know, I live practically next door,â he replied with a lopsided grin and ate some more of the ice cream. If she wanted some she had to ask. Instead she asked about the flavour. âStrawberry cheesecake,â Higgs replied and licked his spoon clean.
" C-cuddle..!? " zen stood on her tip-toes as she was huffing and puffing with tears streaking down her face. the child reached her arms up to the demen as she cooed. " Hiiggs..?~ " poor BB..

zune-ishiâ:
The little one whimpered as she felt being scooped ip zen rested her chin upon his shoulder as she sniffled.Â
â mhm.. I-.. I lost my soldier.. a-.. an I dont remember where I placed it- I-.. I-.. Maybe it got.. l-lost when M-me an papa M-moved..?! â the tot was very attached to the little army figure due to sam buying it for her when he had taken her in so it meant alot to the child..Â
âAw,â Higgs replied almost automatically. He wasnât really sure why, but it seemed like the right thing to say. âDid ya ask your daddy, where itâs been?â It seemed like the logical first step and he couldnât say whether Zenna, upset as she was, had thought of it. He tried to remember if there had been anything in his life that heâd been this attached to. Higgs wasnât quite certain, there wasnât anything that he could think of that, if lost, might bring him to tears. The thought distracted him a little from the fact that he had a crying child on his arm and his every instinct insisted on getting rid of it, that it needed to stop crying and if neither of the former was possible to start panicking.
"Yo! Grumpy gold leviathan!" Lou may or may not have had 2 cups of coffee. "Whatcha been up to? Did you miss me? Did you remember to get your cloak dry cleaned?"

The caffeine running through her brain and blood stream made his first question nonexistent for half a second. âOh I⊠did some magic⊠crystal science crapâŠâ She sort of pulled out of her ass. She figured if he wanted her out, he would have kicked her out himself. Thought it would have been funny to see him scoot in the chair and half try to run her over.
âYou canât blame a girl for trying, and I did try.â She promised. âHeck, I was even paying for some of those pizza myself. But they gave some sort of half ass explanation like âthe trek is farâ and whatnot. I think theyâre either lazy and or catching on.â
âOkay,â Higgs said, deciding not to question any further how Lou had appeared. Sheâd at least made an effort to explain her sudden appearance, although it was far from a plausible explanation, but who was he to question her like that. âYou donât look like a hologram,â he stated. And she probably wasnât, but it was better to make sure in these instances when supposed magic was involved.
Half a grin showed on his face and he ate another spoon full of ice cream. âI think theyâre just lazy, youâre the first person Iâve seen here in a while.â Most porters didnât have the guts to face BTs, and though he couldnât command them anymore Higgs wasnât really sure whether they were really that scary. But then again he was also a repatriate so at worst the whole experience would be unpleasant but not final.
Higgs was pretty sure if anyone had caught on they would have already dragged him into the nearest Bridges facility to put him under surveillance.

" Higgs.. when you were a kid.. did you read a lot..?" zen asks as she reached her arms up to the demen as she made grabby hands wanting to cuddle.
Ask me something about my museâs childhood youâve wanted to know.
âHmmâŠâ Higgs gave a quiet hum in response. âI read all the books in our shelter front to back and the other way around,â he replied and added, âthere werenât a lot.â In a way, he guessed, that meant heâd read a lot, but he had also read a lot of the same things, till heâd been able to tell the stories himself by heart. His uncle hadnât been a big fan of books. He grabbed Zenna by the hands she held up and put her on his shoulders without really thinking about it. It just seemed like the thing to do with a small human who held their hands up.
