D’aw thank you thank you. Truly, I was rooting for him to Not eternally dissolve into sea foam, and good for him that he didn’t.

A related ramble— as I said in one of the replies on this post, I think it’s significant that the little mermaid doesn’t dissolve into sea foam either. She is about to die and face her ultimate “bad ending” of eternal separation from the humans— but she doesn’t. instead she’s given a second chance to live as one of “the people of the air,” able to interact with humans & perform good deeds invisibly, until she finally earns the ability to have a human soul. Anyway I mention this because omg not mellow once again predicting all of episode 9.
