I love that Leverage really goes out of it’s way to show us that just because you break the ‘rules’, it doesn’t mean you’re breaking the rules. Rules and laws and society are all made up, at the end of the day, and all you really have is your own moral compass and sense of justice; is this just to you? Is it right? Should it be OK for companies to put people in insurmountable debt for the rest of their lives just because our medical care is so expensive in this modern day and age? No law or rule should change what you know in your heart is right and wrong, and I think that’s the key thing that makes someone a good person in my eyes.

It's been ages since I read it and it is older, but What Does Everybody Else Know That I Don't? by Michele Novotni is specifically aimed at people with ADHD. Some of it is hella basic, but in all honesty it's shit I didn't know until I was an adult.

yall know that terfs dont support trans men, right? you know that terfs attack trans men very often, right? myself I got harassed pretty badly a while ago by terfs. I was told I would never be accepted by men, and that if I didnt detransition and live as a woman id get raped and beaten and murdered. they couch it all in this fake comforting language like "but we will always be there for you as a FELLOW woman! if you continue down this path, you'll be abused and tortured your whole life so just be a woman and we'll accept you again" does that sound like support to you? does that sound like love? being told that if you live as yourself you'll only be assaulted and abused and the only survival is detransition? and im under no disillusion of my privilege. im white, abled, I make enough money to afford a home, and i have the option of stealth because I pass. I cant imagine the torment that other trans men who are less fortunate than me are put through by those people. and then to be told "terfs actually dont care about trans men that much, they really only hate trans women, we should call them twerfs instead". it doesnt feel great to have our experiences erased by our supposed allies, and then be literally erased by the terfs that apparently "dont hate us that much"
