Meticulously planned out this fic that was originally intended to be written, finished, and published in the time period between the end of the 2025 season and the start of the 2026 season (LOL). Clearly that didn’t happen and at this point this thing will never be finished, so below the cut is the original outline instead.
Oscar gets trapped in a time loop after AD25
Listen, time loop rules are weird, I know most loops are only one day but this one is gonna be literally months long. It’s basically the whole flop era, starting where it truly began. Monza.
Set in the 2025 season exactly the same as it was, with one key difference: Oscar out qualified Lando in Abu Dhabi. He starts and finishes AD in p2.
In Abu Dhabi, on the podium, he’s glaring down at the crowd. Tries to fix his face. Lando beams in his periphery, God, he’s so annoying.
At least Max seems pissed too. That’s ⅔.
It’s hard not to remember Zandvoort. His last good podium. Standing on the top step. The whole crowd chanting his name. He’d felt on top of the world. He’d do anything to have that back now. (Not like this)
Oscar goes to sleep angry
He wakes up at Monza, and at first he thinks it must’ve been a very strange, very detailed, very vivid bad dream.
(Which is weird because Oscar rarely dreams)
But if it was all a bad dream, stress induced, surely, then he can just reset and race today like none of it happened
Because it didn’t, duh.
The race goes fine. He’s p3. It feels familiar, but then again these races blur together all the time.
But then, Lando has a slow stop.
And it’s proper Deja Vu now.
Isn’t this exactly like the dream?
And he doesn’t want to give the place back.
He didn’t in the dream either.
But it was just a dream. Strangely realistic, but still a dream.
And the whole team will hate him if he doesn’t do this. And fuck. He probably has to do this, right?
Besides, he can’t just disobey team orders because the voices in the head are telling him to do so.
Like a crazy person.
He gives it back, a few corners later than he did in the dream. But he gives it back.
Nothing changes.
The dream fades, things begin to feel normal again
But then he hits the wall in qualifying in baku
At least he knows not to jump the start.
He doesn’t jump the start, but is overly cautious so he loses a place. P10 is better than a dnf
He still crashes
But he can fix Cota, he knows Nico will be there. He knows he can’t make that move quite yet. He’ll have to settle for p3 but, well, that’s better than a dnf
He doesn’t improve in Cota or Mexico
But he knows to avoid the water on the white line in Brazil, he avoids a crash there, and finishes the sprint
He still goes for the move on the restart in Brazil, greedy, he wants that place, he still gets a penalty even though he tries to avoid Antonelli. McLaren doesn’t fight it.
He doesn’t improve in Vegas
He doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq
He insists on pitting under the safety car in Qatar, it works and he gets a second grand slam.
He still loses the championship. It hurts just as much, maybe more, the dream had been so realistic, this felt like a second chance and he squandered it.
He wakes up in Monza. Now he really feels crazy. But he does it again.
The second time around he doesn’t swap places, doesn’t jump the start, doesn’t crash in Cota or Brazil sprints, doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq, and pits in Qatar
He doesn’t win the championship
He wakes up in Monza
Now he gets it. A time loop.
Maybe now he can fix it. Maybe now he can win it.
He doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku quali but gets p9 anyway, doesn’t jump start, still crashes in Baku. Doesn’t crash in Cota sprint, can’t improve on the race, doesn’t improve in Mexico, doesn’t crash in Brazil, still gets the penalty but this time begs McLaren to appeal it (they don’t), doesn’t improve in Vegas, doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq, pits in Qatar, doesn’t win the championship but maintains p2, at least.
He wakes up in Monza.

Doesn’t crash in Cota sprint, can’t improve on the race, doesn’t improve in Mexico, doesn’t crash in Brazil, still gets the penalty but this time begs McLaren to appeal it (they don’t), doesn’t improve in Vegas, doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq, pits in Qatar, doesn’t win the championship.
He wakes up in Monza.
He’s fixed what he can. Now he just needs to improve
He doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku quali and gets p9, doesn’t jump start, and doesn’t crash in Baku maintains p9. Doesn’t crash in Cota sprint, qualifies p4, doesn’t improve in Mexico, doesn’t crash in Brazil, still greedy, goes for the move in Brazil this time he makes it, doesn’t improve in Vegas, doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq, pits in Qatar, doesn’t win the championship.
He wakes up In Monza
He doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku and qualifies p8, doesn’t jump start and doesn’t crash, maintains p8. Doesn’t crash in Cota, qualifies p3, and podiums in the race. Qualifies and finishes p4 in Mexico. Doesn’t crash in Brazil, still greedy goes for the move in Brazil this time he makes it, doesn’t improve in Vegas, doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq, pits in Qatar, doesn’t win the championship.
He wakes up in Monza
He does it again, exactly the same. Over and over. He’s been so focused on trying to improve in qualifying to very little avail. Yeah he gets faster, but not as fast as Max and Lando.
But it doesn’t take very many loops to realize that he’s beginning to recognize the races. Not just his race, but everyone around him. Everyone, period. He’s come to know Franco Colapinto’s Mexican Grand Prix and Nico Hulkenberg’s Vegas race like the back of his hand.
He knows exactly what everyone is going to do before they do it. And, yeah it feels a bit like cheating, but it sure makes overtaking easy
So he runs it back
This time it doesn’t matter where he qualifies. It’s about making up places.
He wakes up in Monza
He doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku quali and gets p8, doesn’t jump start, and doesn’t crash, he makes up three places, but so does Lando. Doesn’t crash in Cota sprint, qualifies p3, and makes up a place to p2. Lando wins. He qualifies p4 in Mexico and overtakes to p2. Lando still wins. He doesn’t crash in Brazil, still greedy, goes for the move this time he makes it. P2, behind Lando. This time he overtakes through Vegas, manages p3 behind Lando but still doesn’t warn McLaren about the dsq so it doesn’t matter, pits in Qatar for a Grand Slam, doesn’t win the championship.
Ugh it’s still not enough. He’s beating Max but he needs to do more. He needs to beat Lando. He needs more points.
He wakes up in Monza, he doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku, qualifies p8 behind Lando, doesn’t jump start, and doesn’t crash. He makes up 4 places, but so does Lando. Poor Carlos, he’d been doing so well until something broke on the Williams suspension. Okay so he’s not making up points here.
The first place he tries is Singapore
He knows exactly the move Lando is going to make.
The problem is, Lando’s kind of caged in behind Max before he bullies Oscar off the track.
Fine, two can play at that game.
He bullies Lando back and
They both DNF.
Okay, so that’s not exactly going to work.
He doesn't crash in Cota sprint, qualifies p3, and makes up a place to p2.
Between the double dnf in Singapore and disqualification in Vegas, it’s just enough. Max pips it by 2 points.
He doesn’t try the move on Lando in Singapore, instead tries it later. It ends the same. Double DNF. He doesn't crash in Cota sprint, qualifies p3, and makes up a place to p2. Lando wins. He qualifies p4 in Mexico and overtakes to p2. Lando still wins. He doesn’t crash in Brazil, still greedy, goes for the move this time he makes it. P2, behind Lando.
This time he warns the team about the plank wear, begs them to check it again. It takes him three loops before they believe him.

When he warns the team, they believe him this time (finally). They change the set up accordingly. It takes Oscar another loop to get used to this set up well enough to overtake and get ahead of Lando.
He’s chasing down Max Verstappen when his engineer comes on the radio, a problem with the brakes.
“Retire the car”
Retire the car? After everything he went through to warn the team about the dsq. Five whole loops later and he’s finally made it work, he’s about to win in Vegas and he has to retire the car?
The retirement hurt a bit less when Russell collided with Lando on lap 40, taking him out of the race.
McLaren double DNF
He pits in Qatar for his second grand slam
Max takes the championship again.
It doesn’t matter that he warns the team about Vegas, it doesn’t matter they both double dnf anyways.
Oscar tries two more times, exactly the same, just for good measure. They double DNF in Vegas every time.
Not like it matters, he can’t get around Lando in Singapore without DNFing.
He can’t get around Lando at all. Only outqualifies him in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.
He goes again and again and again to the same results.
He finally finds a way to hold his position in Singapore. It sort of tangles them all up, sending Lando into Max and Max into George, but aside for some front wing damage (fixed in the pits) everyone but George keeps racing. Which would be fine if it weren’t for the fact that he’d just handed Max another win.
Which would also be fine if Max doesn’t steal his win in Qatar.
He doesn’t crash in Cota, qualifies p3, and finished p2 behind Lando. Then qualifies p4 in Mexico and overtakes to p2. He doesn’t crash in Brazil, but still greedily goes for the move, he doesn’t get a penalty and keeps p2 behind Lando. He doesn’t warn McLaren about the DSQ because it won’t matter anyways and at least he gets to finish the race on the podium. Then he does his usual spiel in Qatar.
He asks to pit on lap 7.
But when he comes into the box, they’re not ready.
He loses the place to Verstappen.
What the fuck.
A race later he loses the championship too.
Okay, fine.
He wakes up in Monza, he doesn’t swap, doesn’t crash in Baku, qualifies p8 behind Lando, doesn’t jump start, and doesn’t crash. He makes up 4 places, but so does Lando. He qualifies p4 in Mexico and finishes p2 behind Lando. He doesn’t crash in Brazil, still greedy, goes for the move this time he makes it. He finishes p2 behind Lando. He doesn’t warn McLaren about the DSQ because it won’t matter anyways, and briefly finishes p2 ahead of Lando but behind Max.
In Qatar he pulls the team aside during the pre race brief
He probably sounds like a crazy person but he has to be sure that when comes into the pits they’ll be there.
He tells them, in the event of a safety car on lap 7 he absolutely wants to pit. No ifs, ands, or buts. He’s pitting.
But as he turns toward the pitlane under the safety car, Tom tells him, frantic, to “stay out stay out stay out, out, out.”
Oscar yanks the wheel, jerking the car back onto the track
“Stay out? We’re pitting, I told you we’re pitting, why am I staying out?”
“We are not prepared for a double stack”
A double stack? Who said anything about a double stack?
“Besides,” Tom says, “now the other teams have lost all their flexibility”
Fuck!
“I don’t care about a double stack, I wanted to pit, why didn’t we pit”
“We were not prepared for a double stack, we couldn’t just pit you, Oscar”
“Why not?”
“That wouldn’t be fair to Lando”
Max takes the championship again.
He wakes up in Monza
He loses count of how many loops he spends trying to convince McLaren to pit him under the safety car in Qatar.
He finally finds a way to hold his position in Singapore. He doesn’t warn McLaren about the DSQ because it won’t matter anyways, and briefly finishes p2 ahead of Lando but behind Max. He pits in Qatar under the safety car, but the stop is slow. Really slow. Stupidly, ridiculously slow.
He loses the position to verstappen
A race later, he loses the championship too.
He wakes up in Monza, he does everything the same. This time he pits in Qatar under the safety car, but the stop is slow. He loses the position to Verstappen. A race later, he loses the championship too.
He wakes up in Monza, he he does everything the same. This time he pits in Qatar under the safety car, but the stop is slow. He loses the position to Verstappen. A race later, he loses the championship too.
He wakes up in Monza. He doesn’t swap. He doesn’t crash in Baku, he doesn’t jump the start. He makes up places and manages a podium. He finally gets past Lando in Singapore without drama. He finishes p2 in COTA, Mexico, and Brazil. He still gets disqualified in Vegas but that’s okay, he’s still got a lead to work with, if only he can manage to win in Qatar. This time he tries something different. If only he can prevent the crash altogether.
It works on the first go.
He gets his 8th win of the season, 10th win over all, and 2nd career Grand Slam in Qatar.
It’s his for the taking now. He goes into Abu Dhabi with enough points to easily win it.
And he’s about to, running in p2 for most of the race.
Until his car starts breathing smoke.
He wakes up in Monza.
Fuck fuck fuck what the fuck does the world want from him?
He’s tried everything, but every time he fixes one thing something else somewhere else goes wrong.
And it’s stuff he can’t control.
He tries warning mechanics, but something else fails the next time around.
He covers every base he can think of, but every time there’s always something.
Loop after loop he spends time fixing every possible problem on the car before the final race, until he eradicates the possibility of a mechanical dnf.
He crashes out in Abu Dhabi
Lando wins the championship
He wakes up in Monza. He doesn’t swap. He doesn’t crash in Baku, he doesn’t jump the start. He makes up places and manages a podium. He finally gets past Lando in Singapore without drama. He finishes p2 in COTA, Mexico, and Brazil. He still gets disqualified in Vegas but that’s okay. He wins in Qatar. He crashes out in Abu Dhabi.

He crashes out in Abu Dhabi
He crashes out in Abu Dhabi
He crashes out in Abu Dhabi
Lando wins
He’s starting to lose interest in the championship altogether
It’s not about winning it anymore
It’s about getting back to his real life.
It’s about getting out of this fucking loop.
So Oscar gives up.
When he wakes up in Monza, he gives the place back. He’s done fighting it.
He thinks maybe he has to learn to be okay with the outcome as it was
He lets it happen, this time he doesn’t change anything
He tries to recreate the season exactly as it happened the first time
It feels a bit weird when he knows he’s about to crash
when he has to stop himself from going for the obvious overtake because that’s not how it happened
Jumping the start in Baku, going into anti stall, almost feels on purpose now that he knows it’s going to happen
He drives himself right into the wall
It feels worse now than it did the first time, when it was an accident
He makes a few mistakes, he’s been here too long, tried too many things, he's forgotten how it really went, he gets some things wrong
He has to try again a few times to get it right
But when he does finally get it exactly right he still doesn’t feel okay with losing
He wakes up in Monza
He does it again
Fucking up on purpose is hard, he has the season almost exactly right until he accidently biffs it in Abu Dhabi qualifying, placing 3rd instead of 2nd
He wants p2 back. He needs to correct this mistake
He tries it around Lando in turn 1 but that doesn’t work
Maybe it’s a balance of the universe thing but he gets around Lando easily in turn 5
On cold, hard tyres. A risky move. It doesn’t amount to much, just the same p2 he would’ve had anyways but something about that felt nice.
He does it again every loop after that.
Eventually he decides to go out with Zhou and Gabi after the race in AD instead of just back to the hotel to wallow
He watches the clock turn to midnight
He realizes he’s free
He wakes up in Luanda (or some other obscure city to host the fia awards)
It’s 2026
Time kept passing while he was in the loop
The championship trophy is on the bedside table
Not just any championship trophy. The wdc trophy
Etched in silver around the edge he reads, -erstappen, Max Verstappen, Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri

lily zneimer x lando norris (landoscar + oscarlily) / 3.3k words / e
Lando doesn’t really want to fuck Lily.
But he will anyway.
It isn’t like he minds. It’s definitely no hardship. She’s pretty, if you’re into the whole girl-next-door kind of thing. A little too perfect and squeaky clean for his liking, but nothing he hasn’t done before.
And maybe he doesn’t really want to fuck her, but thinking about it has him twitching in his boxers. The possibility. The potential.
The look on Oscar’s face when he inevitably finds out.
