Happy Death Race fanbinding
I can finally share my binding for Happy Death Race by @powerful-owl ! This fic is amazing and it has one of my favorite premises of all time, so I've wanted to bind it for a long time. I would recommend it to anyone who hasn't read it yet! :) I still remember the shock at THE plot twist and it only got better the second time I read it because it all came together so well. You're so talented Em!! There's this way the fic was written that mixes the dark theme and the magic of it all and also the air of vegas that I don't think can be replicated anywhere else. I recently saw someone say it could be turned into a movie and I agree so much!
I actually started making the typeset last year after a re-read, but I only had time to bind it this year a few weeks ago. It was a hell of a ride. This is just my second project so of course there are errors here and there, but that's the joy of it being handmade :)
The hardest part has definitely been making the cover. I suffered a lot trying to design it because of course I thought about using the vegas sphere but I wasn't talented enough for that, so I went the glitch sci-fi route, then the vegas atmosphere route (??), then the minimalistic route... I probably have like 60 pages in Canva and some more in Illustrator over the two months it took me to finally make a somewhat decent one. Something similar also happened with my first project, so my respect for graphic designers has increased exponentially. You all rock!

If someone is curious, I used normal white bond paper for the interior, mate photo paper for the front and end papers, and adhesive laminated mate photo paper for the cover!
