we’re all super grateful that holtby isn’t going to the white house and that connolly is standing with his previous decision not to go. it’s awesome that both of them made that decision and we shouldn’t overlook that! but let’s not forget that devante smith-pelly didn’t just say he wasn’t going to go. he actively called out trump and said: “The things that he spews are straight-up racist and sexist. Some of the things he’s said are pretty gross.” I don’t want DSP’s statement that he’s stuck by since June 2018 to be drowned out in the wake of these white guys who decided not to go. 

My favorite part of this is that you can just hear the defeat in this.
