First episode of Jaadugar: A Witch in Mongolia was good. But I am nervous. As I always am with stories with historical settings that try to be realistic. The story starts with a Mongol invasion and the main character is a slave girl. I am here for this girl being really intelligent and stuff. But I am worried that they might get a bit graphic with some scenes.
There’s a second episode already apparently. I guess I can find out now whether if it is going to be too much for me or not.
Not as brutal as they could have gone. Brutal enough. Probably not going for episode 3.
Up to chapter 17 in the manga, and I think the art style helps limit the brutality a bit.
I think the art is messing with my brain. With that art, I want something more cozy. Or at least something with less brutality on screen. Like. I love Apothecary Diaries. I could somehow handle Apothecary Diaries fine. This? Nope. It upset me a bit too much. And I am sure that it’s going to be plenty more misery and violence until Sitara starts getting the upper hand.
Instead I am watching The Cat and The Dragon. I am very surprised that this one seems to be childcare heavy. Which makes me happy.

I dont even know enough to annoy people who do watch the show.
I have seen like a half to a full season. I think I stopped before catboy (sad). But all I remember is that it was WAY too heavy for me and there just was not enough wholesomeness in between all the torture and pain to make it worth it. Oh. And that it helped develop my extreme dislike for time loop stories. Like. You see two characters get really friendly and close during one of the mini loops. But since that wasn’t the “canon” timeline when the loop was broken, that relationship building doesn’t count and wasn’t real. I already HATE movies/stories that end with “it was all a dream/none of this was real”. And I specifically watch anime/read manga FOR relationship development! So seeing time loop stories where all that stuff gets undone and just brushed aside?? Yeah. No.

Not enough people talking about how well broccoli holds a sauce
Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??
