Just wanted to drop by and say your fic has me by the throat. I wake up every Thursday (that's when it updates for me lol) and it's always the first thing I look for. I love how you've characterized Daeron with all his flaws and his attempts, because GODSDAMN IT HE IS TRYING 😭 and his relationship with other people that keep reverting back (that's the most tragic thing for me tbh) as well as just your general writing style. It's so. Stark, that's how I can describe it. Alongside visceral - it makes me feel things, you write tension very well. The dialogue is tea. It's the feeling of, "gosh, I hate the fact they would say this because it just makes it more realistic, aka more painful."
I remember binge-reading it when it was only chapter 7? I believe was the accident-Aerion loop, and feeling so blessed to have found it after rummaging through some tags hehe; I was walking my dog when I read the ending and just jaw-dropped. I had to send a whole ass voice message to my friend to even process it. I couldn't believe it. It was giving Gege Akutami (I think is JJK author's name I'M SORRY I DON'T REMEMBER), in the fact that NOBODY IS SAFE. You think Daeron succeeds this time? Nope! Maybe I was just an optimist but my heart breaks for him every time. Missing my Dunk and Daeron friendship but COUSIN AND UNCLE ARE HERE WOOOOO 🥰

Also forever in love how you utilize Daeron's dreams. The constant repeat of the knightly vows and such, augh, so good. The Baelor baptism scene (as I call it) has been rotting the crevices of my brain so much.

The relationships in this little six part miniseries are just so yummy and have so much room to breathe in fics that I feel like a kid in a sandbox with unlimited water to shape it how I like. The lovely little glimpse into how you reacted when you read it is genuinely one of hte reasons I write. That is my favorite feeling in the world, when the world tips a bit and your breath gets caught and you're Awake, sometimes for the first time in days.
