‘i've got the most obscure hss headcanon that i don't think anyone will get apart from me but i want to share with the fandom. i think aiden had a tiny emo phase where he went out of his comfort zone and listened to some pop punk and then found out he actually liked it. it probably lasted like 6 months MAX. then comes hss mc who i headcanon as having a very versatile music taste and they’re introducing aiden to fall out boy and he's like "Oh I know them! I really liked–" "YOU WHAT?" and then cue silly interactions. i just think headcanons like that are nice to share with the world.’

‘some of the complaints are very confusing to me, especially ones where people think we are “owed” anything. This is a business not a charity. They owe us for what we pay for and not a penny more. I get being frustrated with creative choices being made but I really think people should remember that to PB, this app is not a fanfic blog but a way to pay rent and they can’t afford to not charge people for higher quality books and early access, or to write schlock if it keeps the lights on’

To this day I will never buy the "the schlock is what keeps PB alive" argument. Like okay but like... is writing more diversity and variety going to make them go bankrupt? Is PB going to lose so many precious pennies from their audiences if they start writing more GOC stories or multiple LI routes with equal treatment or non smut-driven plots or variation in romance dynamics? I mean, I get there are some things like GOC and multi-LI that do take more time and effort, but other things like variation in romance dynamics or the book covers or different body types for LIs should be easier to make.

If anything, having more variety should benefit them financially, as it would appeal to more audiences and attract more people to the app.

PB is a business and not a fanfic site, and we're well aware of that. But if anything, that's even more of a reason for us to have expectations for them. Because unlike fanfic writers who are creating content independently, they have a lot more power and responsibility.

I think we are able to romance jessy, but only if we play with the male mc (just like romantic options with Jake are only available if you play with female mc)

like, the first time I played the game, I choose male mc bc I'm a boy lol, and the game pretty much just gave pretty obvious hints that jessy and my mc were a thing

for example, when Phil talks with Jessy about mc, instead of asking if we're single, he asks if jessy and Mc are dating

I don't remember exactly what she says, but I think she says something like she really likes us and hope we like her back

I got a little err bc I'm gay and never tried to flirt with her so yeah lol

I'm not sure if the same dialogue happens with female mc if you only flirt with her (tbh I'm not even sure we can flirt with her with female mc), because when I restarted the game and played as a girl, Phil flirted with me and everything

it's something sad that, at least for what I know, we can't be gay in the game lmao

but I think the only way to actually romance jessy is to play as a guy :(

So.... I'm still annoyed by an ask @gb-patch answered the other day. The ask insinuated the new character sprite for Terry is transphobic, without really explaining why. If I had to guess, it's probably because his body shape isn't more masculine, aside from his binded chest. Now, if we were talking about random art of trans men featuring feminine body shapes to signify that they're "originally women" like some different artists have done in the past, yes that would be transphobic. But that's not what this is. This is a character in a slice of life video game. A game that is largely about growing up and exploring self identity. At this point in the game, Terry has just started transitioning. He isn't going to suddenly be masculine looking. He hasn't had the chance to go through surgery or a significant amount of hormone therapy, if he's even started it yet. There's nothing wrong with showing some in the process of transitioning. And honestly, I'm really happy about him not having fully transitioned yet. I am a trans guy who cannot start t or anything yet, so all I can do is bind and cut my hair. I still look very feminine. I am still, unfortunately, referred to as a woman pretty much every day. So it's going to be so nice to see a trans guy in the early stages of transitioning who is referred to by everyone as a guy despite not looking as "manly" as the other men in the game.

#And like it's not like every trans guy it's super masculine or even wants to be super masculine #this is totally a thing with the style and personality of the person #idk im a trans guy with very feminine style so yeah
