Sadly, the thing with terminology regarding lgbt identities is that someone will always have a problem with any given word. If you say "transexual" some will be mad. If you say "transgender" someone will be mad. I am fond of words like tgirl and doll while some people would send me death threats for those words.

More broadly speaking there are words like queer, saphic, and of course theres the contentious topics of what slurs can be reclaimed, by who, and to what extent.

I don't really have a conclusion, its mostly all just a matter of preference. Personally, I dont like the word saphic but I also dont think calling myself a dyke makes me feel any cooler. I prefer more neutral, simple terminology. Though, sometimes I do lean towards words like doll and transexual for political reasons.

I feel like some people are glazing this show because of that one YouTuber that makes the "did you know this in the amazing digital circus" videos, idk if you know who I'm talking about but he always labels fans criticizing the creator/the cast and the show as "drama." There's this weird idea I see where people are perceiving criticism as harassment towards creators, and ppl don't wanna be seen as "fans that just hate on everything and can never be satisfied." So ppl that glaze the show are just attacking anyone that criticizes it, and it creates this space where no one can share a different opinion, so everyone just accepts the shitty metaphors the show has without forming their own thoughts.

Anyways YouTubers like him suck they just take one tweet and push it as "EVERYONE does this, this is some HUGE THING" and it just creates more toxicity and fighting in the fandom.
