how bowser found the koopalings is something that will be talked about in Clair De Lune eventually, so i dont want to spoil too much yet.

Would the game break? Would it be like the weird route where you use Noelle to mess up the game? Would the Balcony even happen?

i think theres a LOT of variation that would happen, considering the game is programmed to view bucky as the protagonist.

if the game were told to view someone else as the protagonist, and that character went through like normal, the balcony scene would still happen, but buckys probably the only one who would outright ask the player to do it.

bucky IS the protagonist for a reason, and i think the mark of a good protagonist is, "if we replaced them with someone else, the story wouldnt be the same". thats the idea i live by, at least.

this is a bit of projection and its hinted at in clair de lune, but i think he's a bit of a tea snob. he'll determine water temperatures and use measurements of tea leaves, knows exactly how much cream and sugar he likes in his earl grey, probably has a collection of teacups from the real world (its off limits from his siblings because he knows they will all shatter). i think this also extends to him being adept at magic, and kamek taught him what plants have certain properties. if one of the other koopalings gets sick and kamek is working overtime, ludwig knows the right remedy to get them back up in no time
