i draw for the same reason i eat. it gets me through the day. i consider it a necessity as much as drinking water. when i'm forced not to, it feels like im a bird with its wings clamped down, it isnt natural.

hes one of the hardest to draw imo, theres a lot of small details that are easy to miss and theres a lot of ways you can fuck up perspective

my best advice is to watch gameplay (esp mariokart 8 and wonder, both games have great body language and varied angles for all of them) and practice drawing the more difficult angles. once you get a stronger idea of the 3d form, its easier to draw him in general

i also like taking note of differences between each koopaling (plus bowser, junior, and kamek. its seriously impressive how much facial diversity they get in the koopa characters!) because the little subtleties go a long way. taking note of facial proportions is helpful too, the spacing between/size of the features carries a lot of the characterization
