Playing Mgsv after ive already played both Death Stranding games and i see a lot of similarities between the two with Mgsv being a kind of predecessor to what Death Stranding would be.
Specifically with how the story and cutscenes are laid out compared to other metal gear games (specifically cinematography) To me it feels like a transition between Mgs and Death Stranding. Also the gameplay itself with how you do missions and the strategy behind them.
Obviously theyre very very different with death stranding leaning far more into the fantasy aspect but you can see how Kojima started to push the fantasy a little more in phantom pain.
