[haven’t played any sequels or new routes since Chevalier’s sequel… just getting back into playing the game lolol]

So I’m pretty sure that Rhodolite, Jade, Benitoite, Obsidian, Tanzanite, Ruby and Achroite all speak different languages, and the characters are speaking French due to the names we see in Rhodolite vs the names of the other foreign princes who’s names derive from other countries (Jade= England, Benitoite= Italy, Obsidian= Germany, Ruby= Japan, Achroite and Tanzanzite I haven’t managed to pin down instantly like the others, but I think it may be Sweden and Egypt.)

Anywayyy if it’s true, I feel like the biggest give away that Emma is not a noble lady or sariel’s student in the eyes of the foreign princes is how she can’t speak another language other than Rhodolitian.

Like in Luke’s route I’m pretty sure it’s mentioned how she had to learn Benitoitian to move countries to be with him in the dramatic route, I think…. (may be wrong tho my memory is hazy)

Whereas nobles or someone who was actually sariel’s student would probably be versed in at least Benitoite due to their political alliance.

I mean if they do all speak different languages, then it’s a prettt big tell when Emma is in another country and everyone has to speak Rhodolitian to her that maybe… just maybe… she’s not as noble as they suggested…
