An incomplete Gilbert drawing I'd made.
what strikes me as insane is that Ren's VA and Kagari's VA are the one and same, but they are TOTALLY different characters.
like Ren is the ultimate tsundere while Kagari is like. the most clingiest prince known to man.
Foreign Affairs Faction when you need help:
the most helpful princes, indeed.
How many times am I going to have to suffer through reading a character in the ikeseries that believes the MC (even though very much in love) should never fall in love with them and will be much happier without them? It hurts my soul every time. Takes a fraction of my life.

Can you imagine Chevalier’s reaction when he learns that it was never his super-genius, foolproof, air-tight strategies keeping Obsdian at bay?
Would he struggle to keep that bland but beautiful poker face from shifting when he hears that it was all thanks to his psycho bestie arch nemesis?
That black-clad creep just had to fall in love with some random no-name townswoman he’s never even met.
A commoner, no less! From some tiny bookstore!
Worse, she doesn’t even know that her very existence has already defeated the ambitions of an entire empire!
Clavis would never let him hear the end of it, of course.
There would be banners announcing Chevalier having been bested on the sly. Confetti. Good lord, a parade around the castle.
No— those things he could easily ignore…that wouldn’t be enough to satisfy his fool of a brother…
The country’s most off-key marching band right next to his bedside in the wee hours.
Yes! That sounds like something Clavis would do.
That short-stack eyepatch bastard did say that he wanted to play a game with him, way back when.
Looks like he finally won.
I'm not mistaking anything… it was an election, right?
Did Villains break my brain, or was it too easy?
These are the borders…
…for getting into top 100 we get a character's card +99.
I got two cards… just because I didn't want more… but I could. And I'm mostly F2P in this game. Mostly. Azel tricked me into spending money on some of his events, but that's just for Azel. I'm weak to that cute face.

Chapter 1 chapter 2 epilogue
Chapter 3:
[Rose garden]
Emma: "Were you worried about me?"
The night breeze blows through, carrying the petals of rose across the surface of tea cup.
The waves spreading out from the floating petal didn't subside for a while.
Chevalier: ".....Nonsense."
Chevalier: "What is the point in worrying about you?"
("Worrying" is something humans do.)
Without pushing away the petal, I sipped my tea.
It did not taste bad, but it was lacking a bit compared to the tea Belle usually made for me.
There is little difference between the quality of the tea leaves or the way it was brewed.
Even so....that's how I feel.
(.......)
Emma: "But I can't think of any other reason."
Chevalier: "Do you really need to know?"
Emma: "I want to know."
Emma: "Not as Belle, but as a person."
Chevalier: "......."
Emma: "I want to know your true intentions, prince Chevalier."
When I looked up from my teacup, I found myself caught in her clear eyes.
There was no fear, no dread, no cautious in her gaze.
It was an unflinching, direct gaze—somewhat reckless for someone facing a beast.
(......What is the point in knowing my true intentions?)
Chevalier: "......I was just on a patrol."
Emma: "You, prince Chevalier? On a patrol?"
Chevalier: "In deserted places, vermins tend to thrive."
Chevalier: "Every so often, I visit those places to intentionally present them with an opening."
(However...I only employ that tactic when I am sure the pests are present here.)
Chevalier: "It just so happened that you were there today."
Chevalier: "I just thought it might be fun to let you swing a sword to pass the time."
The more I talked, the more it felt like I was only saying excuses.
(I am not worried.)
(But......)
[White flash screen]
[Flashback to this event's chap 1]
Clavis: "I wonder what Emma would think if she found out about your decision?"
[White flash screen]
[Back to rose garden]
(.....There is a chance this might be a last day.)
(Not that it makes any difference.)
Emma: "I'm glad nothing happened then."
Perhaps she didn't suspect anything, as smile spread across her face.
Emma: ".....Thank you for teaching me how to use a sword."
Chevalier: "That is not a swordsmanship."
Emma: "Play fighting with swords, then?"
Chevalier: "Ah. Do not go under the impression that you have learned how to use a sword."
Emma: "Of course I know that."
Emma: "M....aah."
The yawn slipped out before she could hold it back, and at that, Belle's face turned red.
Emma: "........I'm sorry."
Chevalier: "You really are a simpleton."
Emma: "Now I'm embarrassed...."
The cup she raised to cover her embarrassment was still trembling.
Even so, I could not take my eyes off the foolish sight of her drinking so desperately.
Chevalier: "You have let your guard down."
Emma: "....Hehe, perhaps it's because I'm in front of prince Chevalier."
Chevalier: "To think you do not even remember what happened the other day."
Emma: "In the end, everything turned out alright, but...."
Emma: "......Because of Clavis, some strange rumors started going around."
Chevalier: "If he were see us now—"
Emma: "Oh, this is a serious matter!"
Belle stood up from her chair with a sudden burst of energy and looked around cautiously.
By now, my foolish brother must have been in his room, lamenting on his helplessness.
Of course, he wasn't here and Belle sighed in relief.
(I suppose, you can only react so innocently until tonight.)
(.......Soon, you will come to understand my true nature.)
[Black screen]
(You may laugh now, but that will not last.)
[Back to rose garden]
Rio: "I'm back! ...Oh Emma has fallen asleep."
The butler had returned with herbs and bandage, looking at the soft expression on his mistress's face, as she slept face-down on the table.
Rio: "I'm glad she's able to sleep properly...Thank you, prince Chevalier."
Rio: "......While all I could do was watch as Emma weaker."
Rio: "It's thanks to you for making sure she got a moderate amount of exercise."
Chevalier: "......."
Rio: "Prince Chevalier?"
I set down my cup on the table and got up from my seat.
When I picked up a woman and hoisted her onto my shoulder, butler's eyes widened in surprise.
Chevalier: "You will attend to this mess, yes?"
Rio: ".....Both the clean-up and Emma are my jobs."
Chevalier: "Well, it seems you were in luck."
Rio: "Could you at least hold her in bridal style?"
Chevalier: "You should be grateful I'm carrying her at all."
(Why must I dwell on such pointless things?)
When I looked up at the sky, the stars were twinkling as usual.
But from tomorrow onwards, when I look up at the sky, the same sight of stars will be shrouded in the scent of blood.
The beast defends this country in ways that Belle would find disgusting and nauseating.
(—So what?)
I cut off my emotions.
All that remained was nothingness.
(There is nothing more important than defending the country.)
[Black screen]
[Flashback to his route's chap 14]
Few days later, I met Belle again—this time, on a battlefield.
Emma: "Don't you..."
Emma: "Don't you have shred of humanity in your heart?!"
Chevalier: "I don't need such a thing."
[Black screen]
(Looking back, it is truly a foolish...and ridiculous story.)
[Training grounds]
A clumsy sword swing cuts through the night breeze.
Emma was there at training grounds, which I had not visited for some time.
Changed into light, comfortable clothes, with her hair tied back in a ponytail, she looked rather unfamiliar.
However, no matter how much her appearance changed, her swordsmanship remained as sloppy as ever.
I concealed my presence as not to disturb her, and leaned against the wall.
As I stood there, gazing pointlessly, our eyes suddenly met.
Emma: "Ah......."
Emma: "P-Prince Chevalier?! Since when did you..."
(And to think she looked so serious too....)
I snorted derisively at her beaming face and walked towards her.
Chevalier: "I cannot believe you're still doing this."
Emma: "........Only when I can't sleep."
Emma: "But that aside, why are you here, Prince Chevalier?"
Chevalier: "I'm merely on patrol."
Emma: "Ah, I see."
Chevalier: ".......It is your bad habit to believe without a shadow of doubt."
Emma: ".......?"
(As if I have a business with anyone but you.)
Though, it wasn't anything worth mentioning, so instead, I picked up her mock sword.
Chevalier: "That is enough."
Emma: "I suppose so."
Emma casually his her hands behind her back.
(You are just as dimwitted as you were then.)
(So foolish, always wasting your time on worthless things......)
(More human than anyone else.)
As I grabbed her arm and pulled her towards me, Emma fell into my chest—
Chevalier: "You know what I am trying to say...don't you, simpleton?"
End of chapter 3.
I wasn't expecting such a melancholic tone for this chapter. The way Cheva was spending time with her, thinking it would be last time she would ever want to spend time with her, last time she would view him as human, last time she would smile at him. It bothered him that Emma would see him as disgusting so much that he had to cut off his emotions again and remind himself that country is most important—something he never needs a reminder for. I absolutely loved this.
