I do not see a lot of coverage about the cjp protest on here so, ig this is me trying my best to inform the people.
The cockroach janta party, or the cjp, a satirical online party, came out on the streets in India to protest against the paper leaks and systematic corruption in the education sector. This happened after the medical exam aka the NEET paper was leaked and around 17 students committed sucide. Othe students bodies like the Aisa, etc. have also joined them. The protest is being majorly covered by independent and indie journalist and channels. And as far as I can tell the Indian express, the print and scroll are the only mainstream channels to cover them.
Sonam Wangchuk, an imminent personality, an educator, inovator, and recipient of the Ramon Magsaysay Award, decided to join them and is now on day 17 of his hunger strike. To get accountability from the government and the resignation of the sitting education minister. Many students have also come forward to support him and are participating in the hunger strike. The government has not engaged in dialog with them. And his health is getting worse. And now there are calls for him to call this off as it might kill him. He has decided not to do so and asked why is the government is not engaging with them.
The movement is covered mainly online and if you can pls look it up. I have linked some videos below as a starting point.
Today (Tuesday, July 14) marks the 17th day of Wangchuk’s hunger strike and 25th day of CJP protest against education minister Dharmendra Pr
