Vulcan-Human high school exchange program where Vulcan Solek stays for 3 months with the Chapmans of Mississippi, while their 16 year old son Cooper stays with Solek's family in Dahhana’Kahr on Vulcan
The Vulcan family did a lot of work to prepare for their new guest
And especially to understand the emotional needs of humans
It was a bit of a learning curve at first, but not for long
Solek's mother being a family court lawyer finds herself meeting human adolescent curiosity for the first time
Cooper hangs on her every word always followed with "No way!" "But whyyyyy!??" "No she DIDN'T!" to a stern narrator that doesn't understand the appeal of her average court cases
Cooper speaks Vulcan with a southern drawl, which leads to Solek's younger twin sisters asking Cooper to say all sorts of words (for research purposes of course)
Solek's father is a chef on Vulcan and admired how quickly Copper learned to cook his traditional northern Vulcan cuisine
In turn Copper introduces the family to homemade sweet tea- and they can never go back
After Cooper showed the sisters how to play Mario Kart, those girls were (logically) debating their parents to let them stay up another hour every night
