Pointed nose buses are decended from trucks, and have their engines located in the front. This requires the larger nose in order to provide the space for the engine as well as adequate ventilation.

Meanwhile, flat nosed buses are actually descended from city buses (which in turn descend from trolleys), and were domesticated due to their greater maneuverability and capacity.

Contrary to popular belief, flat nosed busses typically do not experience breathing problems. Their engines are located in the back of the bus, with a large breathing vent located in the rear.

I got a comment on a fic that is less than a year old and it was mostly an apology for being a comment on an "old fic" and how late they were in commenting.

Let me get this straight. A mother-of-three had enough evidence in 2021 that Neil Gaiman reneged on a 2014 real estate deal (she and her husband would be property caretakers in exchange for a significantly discounted land exchange) that she got him to pay her $275k to sign an NDA. Her specific claims include that once she was separated from her then-husband, Neil Gaiman intended to kick her and the three children from the property (apparently Amanda Palmer really needed it back!) unless she fulfilled his sexual requests. So basically she had new responsibilities (sex with Gaiman—including some specifically abhorrent stuff detailed in the original Jan 2025 Vulture article) plus her property manager role, and the previously promised long-term compensation (land exchange) was withdrawn. DURING EARLY COVID.

Lying? Nope. Libel or Slander? Nope.

Oh, that’s right—for supporting other women he’s paid into silence by sharing her claims publicly.

So he’s not saying her claims are untrue. Just that she was supposed to keep her trap shut. Got it.

Maybe she was wrong to share it in a legal sense—let’s operate under that assumption for a moment. But just so we’re all on the same page here: His defense is not “I didn’t do it” but “she wasn’t supposed to talk about it.”

(Also interesting that maybe he didn’t hold up his side of the NDA, either? Because per the Vulture follow-up, NG’s lawyer retained communications from their time together that each side were supposed to have destroyed or disposed of after the execution of the NDA.)

Let this be a warning to all comic convention organizers and book signing event schedulers—don’t put your fans and customers in close contact with NG.

Also to Neil Gaiman: You were like 50-something when this went down with Caroline Wallner. You more than knew better to sleep with someone who was effectively your tenant. This was a knowable outcome for you.
